Hi, yes 2.5mm on one side, 6mm on the other side of the coupler.
-
Yeah that’s what I thought. I want to use the skywatcher autofocuser on the the 10:1 reduction gear of the skywatcher 130pds crayford focuser, the shaft is 2.5mm unfortunately.
-
Not sure where to put this. I’m looking for a flexible shaft coupler like this:
I need 2.5mm to 6mm bore sizes but I can’t seem to find it anywhere and I’ve had a good look. Any help appreciated.

Are you saying don’t use AI sharpening if the image is over sampled?
-
Couldn’t normal sharpening tools cause these artifacts as well though? I’ve used BlurExterminator/NoiseEx on bad data and it’s not made a huge difference to the the end result. Great image by the way.

These were good for my Skywatcher Evoguide ED50. Have to check to see if they’ll fit your scope though.

Great first shot!

I like that - and a great example of achieving great results with cheap kit too. It'd be interesting to see what BlurX might make of it ?

I used BlurX in this image. I was happy with it before with normal sharpening, but BlurX, wow!

A lovely image of M82 which clearly shows the hydrogen filaments. Quite amazing given how cheap the PDS130 is. Do you use a CC on this scope and have you had any problems correcting coma?
Thanks Maximidius, I used a Baader MPC mark 3 coma corrector. That seems to work quite well.

Hi All. Actually took the data for this in February 2021, it's about 13 hours of 1 minute and 5 minute subs.
Mount: Skywatcher HEQ5
Imaging Scope: Skywatcher 130PDS
Imaging Camera: ZWO ASI 224
Guiding: PHD2 with Finderguider and Altair GPCAM
Capture Software: Sharpcap
Stacking and Processing: Pixinsight, BlurXterminator, NoiseXterminator
Been out of the game for one one reason or another for about two years, but its nice to be back. Any comment or criticism welcome as usual.
This is my first time processing on my current monitor. I've left it in standard mode because sRGB mode seemed very dark. Please let me know if the image seems too dark or bright, you should be able to see the Ha jets, they're subtle but definitely there.

Thanks guys, I can use the old connector. I'd still like to know what the connecter is though and what tool I need.

I found that the 18,12 and 8mm BST's worked well in my F5 scope, but not the 25mm.

Very Impressive!!

Hi, I've seen the Skywatcher Evoguide 50ED also advertised as the 50DX. Is there any difference? Is the 50DX an update?

Productive day today, managed to get the guidescope attached and the scope collimated (I think). The primary was way off and the secondary needed a little tweaking. First time I've collimated a reflector and have to admit the secondary was a faff. I'm sure it'll get slicker over time though. Does this look OK? (Picture isn't great but it looked better visually)
Also is there any adaptors available so that I can have everything threaded (i.e. CC to the focuser)
Another thing I noticed is the amount of light entering the bottom of the tube at the edge of the primary. Is it advisable to make a cover to stop as much light entering?
Hi, you can use a shower cap stop to the light leak at the primary. I use this one:

Thanks for the advice David, I'll definitely bear all that in mind. Do you have suggestions for the reputable brands I could buy for the converter please?
