Hi very interesting and technical, most of it way over my head. Think I have the same problem with my AVX mount coursed by the power cable now showing (16/17) on the Nexstar+ controller by using the controller been able to check firmware for HC which seems ok but on MC only showing ??????. I hoping the flash the firmware in a day or so once a get a new power cable. However, knowing my luck it going to a hardware failed not software one. Looked at the cost to retuning my mount back to Celstron it works out nearly 2/3 the cost of a new mount with my mount out of warranty not sure how much the charge for the repair would be ether. Did you find mange to find a supplier for a replacement control boards? or was you able to repair yours Rob
