  1. Thanks Uranium. Sorry for the delayed response, i had not been on in quite a few days (BTW living by the Aberdeenshire coast does not really make for great viewing in the summer months, Cloud or fog take your pick). Thanks for the info however, i will certainly have a look at that.
  2. You really do seem to have mastered it however. I would love to hear any tips or pointers you might have for a novice like myself??
  3. Uranium, i feel distinctly inadequate every time you post a picture in this thread
  4. So the clouds parted tonight at about 11pm so i thought i would have another go with my new scope, it was pretty horrendous out with it being almost day light thanks to the moon, i did however want to try and have a go at the Leo Triplet (a bit daft as i was effectively shooting into the moonlight). I did get this though, its 25 lights various exposures stacked in DSS, no Darks, battery of both the camera and me were running low. Quite chuffed with how they turned out, cant wait to get a shot at them on a dark night though !!
  5. Well i finally got to take out my 130p-ds tonight, a crystal clear sky albeit pretty washed out with the moon. The below is my first ever pic with a telescope and i am pretty sure most people reading this would of wet themselves if they seen my reaction when it flashed up on my camera. Took quite a lot of data which i will play with tomorrow night, this was run v quickly through photoshop to brighten it up a bit. I would welcome of course welcome any advice that may be forthcoming, i must warn you though that in my eyes this is the greatest picture that has ever been taken
  6. Good news: My better hald just called to say that the good guys over at FLO were true to their word and two large boxes had just turned up at our house. Bad News: http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2650086 Good News: Steve over at FLO just emailed me this (http://www.firstlightoptics.com/misc/zarkov-cloud-gun.html) anyone else tried it and how successful was it??
  7. 130P DS Ordered from FLO along with Coma Corrector, M48 Adapter and Cheshire Collimator - To say i am excited is a complete understatement. In the last month i have also purchased a CG5 mount and a Canon 600d - This has all stemmed from my Mrs buying me a Celestron 76EQ at Xmas. Part of me is wondering whether she might now be regretting that now?
  8. Is there much difference between the 130 and 150 when imaging?
