Brilliant Jim I'm glad you have it working, I bet your a happy man now !!! How did you search for the driver did you use windows auto or did you do a search yourself on-line ? I managed to find updated PL2303 drivers for mine although the originals still work fine.

Ive just seen on the sourceforge forums that someone has version 0.10.5. Ive asked them where I can find it and will update if i get an answer

Yes you can I have the same mount, do you have rs232 port on your pc, ? If not you will need one of these from astronomiser Astronomiser - Automated Astronomy and AstroImaging Solutions . If you use stellarium then 0.10.4 is the one that needs no extra programs for mount control. If you need any help then give me a shout

I cant remember which but I know some machines using a particular make of graphics card were having problems. SourceForge.net: Stellarium: Topics for Feedback has a few threads regarding this issue.

First you will need this http://www.astrosurf.com/astropc/cartes/prog/cdcbase276.exe
Then you will need this http://www.stargazing.net/astropc/prog/Ascom_plugin.zip
Then you will need the ascom platform ASCOM - Standards for Astronomy . Also you will need the updater 5.5 on the same page and the drivers for you mount. Tell me what mount you have and I will help you look if you like.

Hi Jim
I Think your USB adapter may be the problem. I sourced one locally and although it connected to my scope Skywatcher mount it was unable to send commands !!! Astronomiser do one that will work...... Astronomiser - Automated Astronomy and AstroImaging Solutions . Hope this helps

Hi Jim
Can I ask where you got the USB-Rs232 from ?

I would think the date/time and alignment need to be done prior to starting stellarium. I have the skywatcher130p az goto synscan and have to this every time.

I have to agree Stellarium 0.10.3 is a massive improvement with regards to the simplicity of telescope mount control. I have a sky-watcher AZ goto mount and as Iris has stated its just plug and go, with a small amount of configuring. Im just hoping they sort out the Mac OSX version of 0.10.3 as a friend of mine is itching to have a go.
