  1. wow....lot's of ideas and suggestions! Thanks so much! I think a good stool or adjustable chair might fit the bill. Again, Thanks! Love this site! Mark
  2. Oh sorry, guess that might help a bit....it's a Celestron NexStar 130 SLT Computerized Telescope
  3. So, being very new to all this...I have a question. Is there a trick to being comfortable when out viewing? Or does one just "deal" with it. Was hoping some of you more experienced folk would have some suggestions. Thanks in advance! Mark
  4. I've recently purchased the celestron nexstar 130 slt telescope and am in need of adjusting the collimation of the secondary mirror. Does anyone have any idea what size allen wrench I need? I think it might be 2 mm or 2.5 mm but can't seem to find out. Any help would be great. Thanks!!!! Mark
  5. Hi Dana, Thanks for the welcome! Not a huge Baseball fan, usually only get into it when it's close to the World Series. My main sport is football...college and NFL. Looking forward to this new hobby of mine though...been wanting to delve into this for years, but just kept putting it off.
  6. New member saying hi from Louisiana. I'm very new to all this so not much to say, but very excited since I've always been interested in Astronomy and Space in general. I'm getting the Celestron NexStar 130 SLT telescope for Christmas, and must say I'm pretty excited! Hope it'll work out for me. I've only just begun to browse this site but am loving what I see so far. Hope to learn more and perhaps make some friends.... Mark
  7. Thanks for the info RikM I guess what got me thinking of this was I saw a 2 inch Barlow lens, and thought...so do I get this? or the 1.25 Barlow? Lots to learn for sure! Again, Thanks!
  8. First let me say hi...I'm brand new here and very new to astronomy. Just recently aquired the Celestron Nexstar 130 SLT ( having even used it yet...). I've noticed that this scope will take 2 inch or 1.25 inch eye pieces. Wouldn't it be better to just purchase 2 inch eye pieces? What's the difference? other than the size....I want to get a barlow lens, but am wondering would it be better to get a 2 inch one? Any help would be great! I'm really excited about getting into this new hobby! Mark
