  1. Yeh thats ecactly my problem its probably just lack of experience.
  2. I am enjoying myself so far but i am struggling to find orion nebula. I know where it is supposed to be but i get completely disorientated because if the upside down image so i keep missing it, obviously this doesnt bode well for me finding other dso. I have had no problems finding jupiter snd it does look magnificent through my orion optics 6 inch reflector. Obviously i used my 25 mm lens without barlow to try and find orion. Slightly frustrsted. I know i will only see a smudge but at the moment it seems beyond me.
  3. By the way, quick reply no longer needed, i was in Aldi at the time, i am at home now after deciding against buying the scope.
  4. would this be any good? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Celestron-AstroMaster-Astronomy-Lens-and-Filter-Accessory-Kit/321276530275?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D74%26meid%3D3786026006706033478%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D1048%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D281234758196%26
  5. Ok. Thanks. i was only considering purchase because it would be 2 lenses and a barlow for 40 quid but having looked in the box the lens casings appear to be plastic so i reigned myself in. I will probably pay a visit to stockport telescope shop in the new year for a barlow. Thanks for the swift replies. Sent from my GT-I8160 using Tapatalk 2
  6. I need a barlow. Aldi have a nat geo dob for 40 quid it had a barlow plus a 20 mm and a 10mm. At home i have 25 and 6.3mm with my orion 150mm reflector. Is it worth buying this dob just for the lenses? Sent from my GT-I8160 using Tapatalk 2
  7. No washers or dryers in mine, so thats a good place to store being ambient, so scope is more or less ready to go on a clear night? Covered with a bedsheet maybe? or a plastic car windscreen cover type sheet? which would be best?
  8. I read that you should store the scope at ambient. I have a garage would it be ok to store in there on the mount with a sheet over it or would condensation be a problem.
  9. Well i bought it, (it was the one on ebay but i didnt want to get gazzumped ) its exactly as described, and the guy showed me how to dismantle and assemble the mount, but i couldnt remember when i got it home, but i sussed it in the end. pretty straightforward after you have played with it for a while. Its raining though so will have to wait for, first light...is that what you call it?
  10. Thanks for the replies i am going to check it out tonight and if all is ok i am going to buy the orion
