  4. Got myself told off in mothercare for stating that a cot mattress was the same price as a new tal.... got it down to £150, "same price as a second hand tal".. and I thought astro stuff was expensive... don't ask me about the pram!

      tingting44

i know that feeling lol, if you dont know about it you cant want it lol :) did you manage to get any pics from your 1st white light today, or were you viewing :) its sure fasinating being able to look at a star so close compared to pin pricks of lights from the normal stars in the sky :)

Just purley viewing at the moment... im not too interested in AP, not when there are so many amazing photos posted on here.. its enough to keep me browsing for hours..

  13. Feel like I've been Michael Fish'd.. Fully clouded over but according to two weather apps it's actually clear! Genuinely a bit gutted... Might look out in a few hours..

  14. As stated the Evostar 90 was delivered, all be it for a birthday as opposed to christmas, to my brother and his little lad yesterday.. Much merryment was had and a few quick looks at the moon which sealed the deal, they are hooked. Everyone (or so i thought) was delighted, on the way home in the car, personally full of stidsfaction from a selfless act i got the "don't think i don't know what your doing... whens the new scope turning up?" I mean now.... really... would i.... Me..

I'm joining the 4" frac club, probably a Tal.. but considering the TS102 F11.. Away in a few weeks to so will be ordering for delivery on my return..

I didn't think i'd been that obvious! Ha well, like she said... she worries more when i'm quiet about my astro stuff.

  15. Crumbs it's getting cold... Enough playtime withe frac, time to put the newt on for an hour or two!

  16. The evostar 90 has just made my day.. I've got a good half dozen street lights 100ft away, and sat in the shade of a lovely thick Hawthorne bush I'm just chuffed to bits how we'll it's done.. The semi apo filter can have a thumbs up too!

  17. Anybody else see a small black orb pass in front of Jupiter arond 23:35.. satellite maybe..?

  18. yeeesss clear skys... it might be LP'd to heck but I went for the evo90 over the 200p and im genuinely pleased with the choice.. all smiles!

  19. M13 in the 8mm TVP... Best I've seen it.. Big wow moment must have spent a good hour with it.. Tired now, bed time!

  20. Stripped it down and flocked it up, rebuilt and out viewing in under 2 hours... very pleased!

  21. This errrr, this evostar 90 is kinda cute... Be interesting to see what it can do...

  23. New ostara finderscope arrived today... Looks like aright piece of kit... Wonder if it will fit in my generic skywatcher shoe though. Only one way to find out.....

  24. Clear dark skys, uncountable amount of stars, mikyway as clear as i've seen it in a long time, and it was warm too... Just such a shame i was stuck in the cinima watching gravity... finally paid my dues for ordering 2 Es82 instead of one.. im sure the weather report was checked before it was booked too.... why i oughta!!!

You knew you were in trouble when you ordered 2. Sounds like OH knows how to get revenge. Hope the additional eyepiece works well, it would be the final irony if it wasn't as good as expected. Get them one at a time, it saves a lot of hassle.

To be honest the 11mm ES82 is a fantastic EP and the 4.7mm wasn't too far behind.. I've had worse punishment in my life than a meal and a film... still felt like i'd been grounded though which im sure shouldn't happen when your 33!

And to be fair.. great film in 3d too.. 4/5 maybe even 4.5...

  25. Haaaayyyy who's being buying all the flocking paper from FLO, I was going to carry out that mod after the lacerta 10:1 upgrade... you know, so i have an excuse to touch my scope despite all this cloud, without attracting unwanted attention from naysayers wanting me to empty dishwashers and the like..

I couldn't find any black wallpaper for my goth daughters bedroom. I only bought 164 rolls somebody else must have bought the last bit
