  1. Fat...... so and so 🤣 Ooops not Denise of course.😇
  2. OK I have put him down....... For Pies of course!!! 🤣
  3. Just short of 8 weeks to the start of the Autumn Star Camp folks. Please get your orders in for the Steak Pies on the Friday Night, just before the camp ends. I need "Numbers" to sort out the order to the butcher. I also need to calculate amount of peas and gravy needed. It would be a shame to screw up !! I do not want to have to either cancel it or tell people they are not included because they did not respond to my posts !! Looking forwards to the camp and meeting up with you all. Stay Safe
  4. Good Friends? He He He.......... Well just over two months to go anyway. looking forwards to it and "the Good Friends" 😃
  5. An unbraked trailer is limited to 750kg total. Any loading on the tow ball is not taken into account. So if the trailer weight is 250 kg, then your maximum payload is 500 kg. I would be very careful about this as it will be a fine line to get what you want acheived. As to the floor, there are special sheets of plywood available to purchase with a very hard wearing resin phenolic coating already applied. Best of luck.
  6. We'll see what happens over the next couple of months!! I recon there are not many reading these SGL posts at present because it is summer. £50 to £100 costs about £13 and between £100-150 half that. Over £150 it is free delivery.
  7. Sorry no info on USB 3.0 by Lindy but I use their USB 2.0 active cables all the time. So far only one fault as I use them at the Scottish Star Camp. I or someone else may have stood on it and it failed. Cannot blame Lindy at all. I have used their 8 metre and above active cables for several years so far. I am well pleased with the quality. Shame about the one failure as It cost about £30. I would expect their USB 3.0 to be just as good.
  8. All jokes aside folks, I hope that some more Star Camp Attendees will read these posts about the "Pie and Peas night". As I need to get a total of pies to order ASAP. If not enough pies are ordered then I will have to cancel the ordering as the postage costs will be way too high! I know it is relatively early at present but to be for warned is better than too late in the day to do anything.
  9. Don't woory weel not forget ye'. In da book. 2 pies 😁
  10. Yes you asked fer 2 on der night and 6 fer home. Yous greedy sods 😁. We needs more like you to make a small profit, then I canget a pint 😂
  11. Got to remember he's just bought a new van and pleading poverty,. Either that or trying to show solidarity with the "Calvin excuse" .😏
  12. Aye Damo, ee's bin lookin in da mirror agin..... Wishfull thinkin. 😂
  13. Hypocrisy Just incase some here ( Ian) don't understand the meaning. 😂 People who fein not to eat many pies while they chomp away on them all night in the warm room? They are engaging in hypocrisy, or behavior that is different from what they say they believe. A hypocrite is a person who practices hypocrisy: what they say is not what they do. , 🤣
  14. Ok folks, I will need to know who wants a pie/pies on the night. As usual please let me know if anybody wants "a pie or two to take home with them" (we don't want to be heating up pies meant for taking home) As usual on the night it will be: "Pie Peas and Gravy" The Pies will be beef and gravy. Mike always bought these and they are well liked. So I will need a total numbers of pies for each person attending and any extras wanted for home, giving a grand total to order. At present the cost per pie and peas will be £4.00 each. I will advise everyone nearer the date if that changes. (Probably have to order up around 50 plus for the night 🙂 ) To make a night of it, any donated items for a Raffle would be very welcome. (The possibility of the raffle will depend upon how we get on with donations and Pie and Peas purchased.) We have had a good turn out and Raffles at past Star Parties! That's all for now, please let me know ASAP. 😀 Stay Safe
  15. Pies will be steak as memory goes. So long ago now! 🙂
  16. So will that be your usual 3 or 4 for the night or more plus some for the long trip home? I know you and Ian have a competative nature which none of us can equal 🤣
  17. Hi guys, I thought a small update may be welcome to all. We are now only three and a half months to this next camp start held between: Officially Monday the 21st and Friday the 25th November. ( The Saturday after this i.e. 26th is a weekend also included within the camp dates) Unfortunately....... The bad news is,,,,,, Electricity price increases have meant that Lesley has had to increase her pitch prices to cover costs! It will now be £22 for two people sharing and £20 per single person per pitch per night. This is regretable but unavoidable sorry guys! The better news is that am reinstating the "Pie and Peas Night". At present we are fully booked for the Thursday and Friday nights at 25 pitches. Saturday night is at present at only 19 pitches, so some room for more, if booked soonest! (So I can sort out numbers of pies.) Because of the higher numbers during the week I am thinking of : having the "Pie and Peas Night" on the FRIDAY Evening and not the usual Saturday. If things change we can change this back to a Saturday Night. Please let me know what you all think. I will attempt to get the pies from the same supplier as Mike did in Hexham if at all possible! (I can sort out gravy and peas seperately.) (Lesley has kindly agreed to store the frozen pies and then heat them up for us.) If anyone decides it is going to be too costly to attend, please, PLEASE let us know ASAP, NOT just a week or so before the Star Camp. (Remember ........ if left too late, within the last 30 days, you will still be lible to the full cost and charged for the full booking.) Well that's all for now, I will keep you all posted as and when and as soon as possible. Keep well,
