  9. Hello Journeyman Of the 2000+ people who read my blog on this site, I am sure only a few noticed it had disappeared. But Why? This site is a place of sanctioned advice where people come to learn and discuss, whereas my blog is a personal journey full of blunders. These ideals tend to conflict and taking heed of some advice from forum members I have changed the approach and location of my Blog The link for those that still interested in the ongoing saga of Cassiopeia's Cat Small Print: The author cannot be held responsible for you breaking anything you own and tinker with. No, the seeing was rubbish, so my images are not that good. Plus the flip side of rushing is that my focus was not great and slightly over exposed.

  11. You should post this on the main forum under the community section, you will get a better response there.
  12. My new Avitar is from the spitzer space telescope!

  13. Good start, it's not easy :) Tip of polar aligning, I use the app polar finder on my mobile. I also hold my mobile just in front of my polar scope to light up the reticule so I can align. It is a bit of a balancing act though, hope you find a buddy. (I live in sussex, so probably to far away.)
  14. just setup and polar aligned anybody else out tonight?

Just come back in Jupiter was fantastic and I caught my first sight on Uranus, but the moon obscured it a lot.

Jupiter was really good, well done on Uranus, It can be a bit of a disappointing little green blob.

  15. From the album: Moon

This was taken last night at about -4C in 12bit Raw format with 2000 images and a 25% stack. Debayer and Stack in AS!2 and some RGB and wavelets in Registax. Lastly I placed the moon on a black background and positioned it to make a nice desktop image. Enjoy

  20. From the album: Saturn Journey

First image of Saturn taken at 6:30am on the 5th of Jan 2014. Second round of processing, this time I have created a luminance layer and enhanced with a Blue Filter.
  21. Hello, How will you host the video? I have some on Jupiter, Saturn and the moon. My camera records the settings for each session. I use video to stack and create images, but only for planetary and lunar. Cheers
  22. From the album: Imaging Jupiter
