  1. Hi everyone, thank you all for addressing my post. I found that all of the replies were interesting and very informative. I would think now that it's just a basic Ha mod . There is only a very light pink tint to daytime photos. I also did a test with blue sky's whilst photographing in black and white, the blues were very dark. The Auto focusing is spot on, this also suggests that is a standard rear filter removed. Thanks again for your replies. Warm regards to all. Russ.
  2. Greetings everyone. I have just purchased a used IR converted Canon 700d. I have no evidence to to say what type of conversion it has had ! I was told that it had just a standard rear filter removed. When taking a colour photos during the day time the colours are very much what they should be with only a very small amount of a pink hit , but it's barely there. I have seen other people's images with a similar conversion and there image's are a lot more red . Also when I look at an image that I have taken in black and white the is some difference but no where near to what I've seen on the internet, white trees etc . Should I look at getting a filter to block more of the visible light ?. Thanks in advance for any help.
  3. Hi I had this happen to me once. To fix it I just deleted the app from my phone then reinstalled it and everything work correctly. One thing that I have to do each time it is used is to make sure your WiFi on your phone is showing as for iexos . Hope this helps.
  4. Thank you, glad I didn't adjust any screws then . These are all of the screws on the focuser and red ring.
  5. Hi thanks. The focuser doesn't turn In the red ring when tightened, the red ring turns against the tube . As a test I turned the ring anticlockwise and it got looser, I then turned it clockwise two full turns until it wouldn't turn any more. It now feels right against the tube. So I'm guessing that the ring is threaded which screws onto the tube. I too have looked to find out what the screws are for but couldn't find any information. Hopefully it's all good now. Thanks for the help. Kind regards Russ 😄
  6. Hi all .. I received my new scope a week ago and I'm really pleased with it. I'm have one little problem with it that I'm sure would be something simple to put right. The red ring between the focuser and the tube is loose and it will very freely move around. I don't know how this ring would be attached to the tube, does it screw in or do any of the three screws have anything to do with it. I haven't tried turning the screws as I don't know what they're for. Thanks Russ.
