  1. Fab, thank you all very much. I suspect I will have other very basic questions in the next few days!!
  2. Ah brilliant, thank you very much. I won't be needing it but I'll keep it handy. What difference does an extra 0.75" on a lens make? More light, more detail, better/worse???

    Hello everyone

I'm not new to astronomy as I've been looking at the stars with my eyes and with binos for decades. A few years ago I got a Celestron Travelscope and very recently have gone for a significant upgrade (inheritance money!) to a Skywatcher 150p on an EQ3-2 mount. I'm now very confused so any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!!
  4. Hello all. I just got a Skywatcher 150p but I don't understand what this piece is for. It fits perfectly in the focus tube but the lenses work fine without the extra distance this bit provides. It is just over 6cm high, though the first centimetre fits in the focus tube. Any help?!!!!
  5. Brill, thanks everyone especially ronin, that is quite a list!!
  6. ...what do you recommend I look at? I have an EQ 3-2
