    Hello again

Hi all, not new here but not been on in a few years. Since being last logged on, I've since moved from a flat to a place with a garden which should make imaging the much easier. Those of you that remember me, I'm still doing photography on and off. Looking to get into wildlife videography. Anyway, speak soon.
  2. If I could actually remove the clutch, it wouldn't be an issue as I would have ago at sorting it myself. I've given up now as I can see me throwing it soon and just can't be bothered trying anymore. Currently looking at other mounts to replace it.
  3. If only, it was one from the very first batch FLO got in so it is a few years old now. Would probably explain the QC issue as it wasnt really a problem when first released.
  4. I just watched a sa strip down on YouTube. No grub screw, he just gave it a little wiggle and it came out. Mine isn't shifting at all, afraid I'm going to do more damage. Already looking at a replacement
  5. Thanks for the reply. I can't get the RA gear off and looks like it's seized around the polar scope not allowing it to slide out of the casing. I'm going to have to send it off to be service somewhere.
  6. Evening all, I've just dug my Star Adventurer out after a good few years. I have only ever used it once and that was when they first became available so I can't actually remember much about it. The RA is very stiff to turn with the clutch released all the way off, even with the weight on, it bearly moves. Have these always been stiff or has the grease gone crappy just sitting there? Many thanks in advance.
  7. Absolutely superb. I really struggle with timelapses. I never get the interval right.
  8. Oh, I have plenty of lenses. Just I was looking for a widefield scope for visual as I have a 127mak and c8, so I thought I would kill 2 birds with one stone with a preowned 130pds.
  9. Not wanting to read through 39 pages of the 'imaging with the 130pds' thread and 34 pages of this thread, is there anyone on here imaging with a 130pds on an SLT mount? Looking for widefield scope, I thought I would look at the 130pds if anyone is getting some good images using the above setup.
  10. I really need to dust off my SLT mount and have ago at this challenge. Some really impressive images being posted.
  11. Clear skies tonight. I might actually have ago at imaging.

    Wish me luck.

  12. Mums funeral tomorrow, my God it's going to be a hard day.

  13. Yep, Rich beat me to it as I was typing. Classic prime lenses would be better than a cheaper modern zoom lens. You can pick up a classic 135mm or 200mm 2.8 for as little as 15 pound [sorry, my shift keys have packed up and can't get the pound symbol to work]
  14. Getting really sick of this weather now. It's December, where is the cold, clear, crisp days gone? I can handle the cold, hate the wet.

Oh, let us know if the beach has recovered - it was a right mess this time last year (cos of the winter storms).

MotoGP for me next weekend. I went to Brands once as a kid. I love shooting motorsports. Tried the slow exposure panning for the first time at the Pirelli Challenge. Some pretty good shots lots of throw aways but the good ones are really good with the blur on the tires and background.

  21. Canon 300mm f4 L IS on its way. :)

  22. Can't bring myself round to selling my unused gear.
