well seeing is really pants at the moment cant see nothing other than the brighter stars & winds gotten up since this afternoon tut

last time I saw stars was least beginning September then it was cut short by cloud, mind you managed to get it guiding good thou before hand

haha, have always wanted a ED80 actually, but I have a solar filter for the 150P & travelscope for some white light shots, was just thinking a bigish dobby mite give me better views for when I cant be bothered to set up for imaging, which seems to be more often than not, could be wrong but wouldn't be the first time.

with the weather the way it is, I mite just have to do that no chance me getting out at the moment, will have a look maybe at weekend if get some time, am hopefully going to pick up my new fish tank saturday or sunday.

well theres a good tutorial done by a woman on here called astrobaby its almost a walkthrou of how an what to do to the mount in step by step text an pictures, looks easy enuff to follow mite give it a try next spring/summer as will want it for the winter months ahead for hopefully a bit of AP.

haha well I managed to find one for around 300 quid, few years old with a few scuffs an scratched on it, but works a treat, think it could do with a stripdown an regrease as makes noised as it starts slewing but other than that, seems a bit more technical than my old EQ3-2 so bit dubious about doing it.

I know wot you mean moved in with misses in april so moneys really tight now, I have been doing this on a budget most of my stuff is secondhand only thing that's bought first hand was my guide cam, took me 2 yrs to come across a HEQ5 mount that was affordable luckily managed to saved for it.

arh that's bit of a bummer, that incase of any emergencies that may arise at work ? haha yeah im waiting for orion think its my fave constellation only ever imaged it once, last couple years been pretty pants weather, he'd slipped by behind the clouds an was to low by then to get any decent shots of the nebula, hope to this year as bit better prepared with gear to do it an a bit more knowhow.
