  1. A Moonlite should be arriving on monday for my 120 ed, hope I'm not disappointed with its performance in light of some negative comments about this focuser. Avtar
  2. I am now using 1.25" eyepieces only in my scopes (may be just another phase I'm going through). Here's my case.
  3. I bought these after reading Johns review. I wanted light weight eyepieces with good eye relief and high quality views and these fulfill all the criteria. I thought the 50 degree AFOV would not be to my liking having been used to 82 and 72 AFOV with my other eyepieces but the view through these is so good I don't seem to notice that I'm looking through a 50 afov eyepiece. The 30mm NPL is also a very good eyepiece that goes very well with the SLVs These are now my most used eyepieces. I'm feeling a bit guilty as the Delos and Nagler don't get any scope time. Avtar
  4. My latest 1.25" eyepieces. NPL - 30mm SLV - 25mm 20mm 15mm 10mm 6mm Avtar
  5. The little crossbar that holds the front altitude bolt had to be filed to make it fit under the flange that holds the head in place. At the moment I've just taped the crossbar, I will need to file it down a little more for the screws to fit. Avtar
  6. I've been wanting to mount my ED120 on an AZ mount with slow motion controls but didn't want to spend anymore as I've already overspent my budget. So I converted (with a little filing) my EQ5 to work in AZ mode. Avtar
  7. My other travel kit for holidays in the UK is the ZS 71 ed with Hyperion 24mm and Baader Zoom 8-24 mounted on the Skywatcher AZ goto. The 90 Mak in my previous post I use when going abroad. Avtar
  8. My travel kit : Mak 90, Plossls - 32, 25, 17, 10, 9, 7.5 , Photo tripod.
  9. I was so impressed with the views through the baby Mak that I just had to get a bigger one that would also fit on the AZ goto. Avtar
  10. My latest aquisition a Skymax 127 . Avtar
  11. Revelation 20x100 Helios Q4 15x70, Praktica 10x42 Roof Prism, Asahi Pentax 8x40 wide angle 9.5* Japanese made 7x35 extra wide angle 11* Avtar
  12. I have now managed to put my most used eyepieces into one case. The Binoviewers and related eyepieces have their own case but these don't get much use these days. Avtar
  13. WO ZenithStar ZS71ed and SW Evostar 120ed DS pro. Avtar
  14. Here are my 6" and 12" Newts, I decided to put the 12" on a Dob mount (easier on my back). Avtar
  15. I know it's only a 12" Revelation but I love it. At home in the summer house. Avtar
  16. Came across this interesting little asterism while unsuccessfully searching for NGC 188. It reminded me of the Big Dipper so I just had to sketch it. It's in the region of the Seven Sisters of the Pole about 4 to 5 degrees from Polaris in the Constellation of Cepheus. I think there's just too much light polution for me to see NGC 188 from my location. Avtar
  17. I would be very happy with just the Baader Zoom + 2.25 Barlow and the Panaview 38mm but I'm not getting rid of the Delos and Nagler eyepieces.
  18. I bought them from Amazon - 7dayshop neck tripod £8.71 Avtar
  19. The latest and final addition to my Binocular collection, Revelation 20x100 with filters. Just need a tripod to mount them, any suggestions would be welcomed. Avtar
  20. Thanks Chris, I think you may recognise one particular pair in the picture. Avtar
  21. Helios Q4 15x70 FOV 4.4* Praktica 10x42 roof prism FOV 6* Asahi Pentax 8x40 wide angle FOV 9.5* 7x35 extra wide angle FOV 11* I use this neck mono pod thingy for mounting the binoculars rather than a tripod, I find it more convenient. Avtar
  22. Yes Alan, and a very fine eyepiece it is too.Avtar
  23. My updated eyepiece case. everything in the case gets used on a regular basis. Other pieces in my signature seem to have taken a back seat for the time being. Avtar
