  1. Great stuff! Thank you I'll do that
  2. About time I re-introduced myself. I joined some years ago but due to changes life throws at you I had to sell my minimal gear. I have slowly been building up a budget imaging kit comprising of Heq5 Canon 450d, Rpi4 and a couple of lenses. Anyway...hello again. Mark
  3. I'll try iso 400 thanks for the advise, I need it. I think I was dithering every 3 frames (unguided). I'm using astroberry and have recently acquired a qhy5 and have been playing with the internal guiding.
  4. Great pic! Magic Drainpipe 80-200 at 200mm f2.8. Very rough polar alignment and processing due to inexperience. Lots to learn 450d iso 800
  5. I called my missus outside and pointed to a "star" in Orion's sword and said, now look at it through the scope. As she was looking I said it's not actually a star it's a nebula, new stars are being born there. Ooh she said, whilst looking for about 3 seconds, she then looked at me and said....did you record Eastenders? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. So micro stepping should now be enabled? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Clear skies!!! My first real outing with the astroeq. I couldn't get astrotortilla to work so I will have to try again and I didn't want to waste this night being frustrated. Slewed to Orion then synced once aligned. Took a couple of test shots and looked good considering the full moon and wind. Entered M31 and it was bang in the middle. Lovely. Over to Jupiter and again there it was so swapped the camera and did some webcamming. Even with the X3 Barlow it stayed in the middle. Happy days. To sum up.....astroeq works just fine with the CG-4. Next time, astrotortilla and some guiding, a few min
  8. I had to adjust the pot for the dec inside the astroeq mentioned earlier in the thread Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I have had mine since the beginning of December and am yet to USE mine for it's intended purpose, even once. This weather is getting me down. I do practice indoors though, so I don't forget what to do when it actually clears. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. You missed a joint there Tom Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Llangorse? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. I used to visit my local pubs very frequently in my younger days but now I spend my responsible days with my family and scope. I love this hobby and consider myself a Geek. When I have one of my rare visits to the pub now, I get the inevitable Uranus jokes. Whenever my hobby comes up in conversation though I get a lot of questions, letting me to believe there are more of us out there. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. That seems much better now. Thank you Tom, I appreciate your help. I'll have to wait till next week to try outside as I'm nights this week. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. 50 on the large plastic one (motor)and 33 on the other on (mount) My scope is the 150p. I have plans though to sell and replace with the 130pds. Yes I'm testing fully loaded Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
