  1. Getting ever so close to completion of this mirror, I hope to have it finished this weekend. It is now a 20" F-4.6 after 175 hours work decided it would be to high at F-5.125 so reground the focal down to make it shorter.

      That has been some battle. I hope you have now finished this epic challenge and I have been following this from the beginning.

    Have not given up,  have reverted back to the turn table and I am 

    still pushing the pitch.

  5. 15 hours later and finally back to sphere again

      Hi Damian and Thanks,

      have not had much time nor energy to work the glass, think it was July that I started

      returning to sphere and the total time worked is only 15 hours so I was not at it in a

      steady fashion for sure, hope to spend more time at the glass from here on out :)

      Good to hear that you are still working on it. Hopefully the machine is helping.

      no machine Damian,machine is fine with smaller laps but belt slip with full size, all by hand with full size lap M.O.T.

  7. its a slow road back to the sphere, but I shall never settle for a turned edge, the journey continues...
