  1. Not relay understand where are you going with this and yes it is a bit offence, since you don't know me personalty and my skills. I do take my laptop to my travels to Namibia and some other stuff, I didn't say I don't bring my laptop with me, I said that I don't need laptop for operating the observatory and take the photos, just storage to download the images, I thought you are asking how it is done. I will let you know when I will upload something from my home observatory which I fully build on my own, if you want to see my skills in light pollution.
  2. Thank you all. John - I don't need my laptop, briefly, the observatory has its own PC, I just plan my nights in advance and then operate the Autoslew (mount), maximDL (camrea and focuse), sequence (ASA guiding system) , The SkyX, and take subs, flats, dark, bias...at the end I download everything to my storage and than I have a full year to process after this "fishing" hunt
  3. IC4604 in LRGB Filters. Taking for Namibia during my visit in June 2019. This beautiful nebula is part of the rho Ophiuchi colorful cloud, i the center a 3 blue bright stars the reflect the blue light on the nebula. Photo Details: Lum - 20 x 5min = 100min RGB - 5x5min for each channel at BIN2, 75min Total Exposure: 175Min (~3 Hours) Telescope: ASA 12'' F3.6 Mount: DDM 85 Unguided Camera: FLI 16200 Mono Filters: Astrodon Thanks for watching, Haim My Flicker Page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/101543943@N04/
  4. I rent it locally. taking only my laptop.
  5. LDN1676 (SH2-9) is a butiful emission and reflection nebula. It is in the Scorpius constellation and near the bright star Antares that can be seen in naked eye as an orange color star. below this nebula we can find the M4 globular cluster. This all area is above the milkyway center core from our point of view. I photo it during my visit to the Namibia in June 2019 during Photo Details: Lum - 12 x 5min = 60min RGB - 5x5min for each channel at BIN2, 75min Total Exposure: 135Min (2.25 Hours) Telescope: ASA 12'' F3.6 Mount: DDM 85 Unguided Camera: FLI 16200 Mono Filters: Astrodon Thanks for watching, Haim Huli My Flicker: https://www.flickr.com/photos/101543943@N04/?
  6. IC4603 is a reflection nebula with a bright star in the middle named: SAO 184376. The nebula is located in the constellation Ophiuchus. I took the photo in June 2019 during my visit in the Kalahari desert in Namibia. Photo Details: Lum - 28 x 5min = 140min RGB - 5x5min for each channel at BIN2, 75min Total Exposure: ~3.5 Hours Telescope: ASA 12'' F3.6 Mount: DDM 85 Unguided Camera: FLI 16200 Mono Filters: Astrodon Thanks for watching, Haim Huli
  7. Thank you all. The combination of one of the most dark places on the planet and a fast well made astrograph make the live of astrophotogarphy a bit easier
  8. IC2944 aka Running Chicken Nebula is a stellar nursery located in the Centaurus constellation. IC2944 is an open cluster and an emission nebula. Took the photo in June 2019 during my visit in the Kalahari desert in Namibia. Photo Details: HA - 11 x 5min = 55min OIII - 10 x 5min = 50min RGB - 3x5min for each channel at BIN2, 45min Total Exposure: 2.5 Hours Telescope: ASA 12'' F3.6 Mount: DDM 85 Unguided Camera: FLI 16200 Mono Filters: Astrodon My Flickr Page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/101543943@N04/? Thanks for watching, Haim Huli
  9. This dark nebula can be seen in the southern constellation of Lupus the Wolf. The dark and dusty clouds are part of the Lupus Molecular Cloud some 500 light-years from earth. Photo details: 22 x 5Min Lumi = 110Min 6 x 5Min for each RGB channel = 90Min Total Expo: 200Min Equipment used: Telescope: ASA 12'' F3.6 Mount: DDM 85 Unguided Camera: FLI 16200 Mono Filters: Astrodon Date and Location: June 2019, Namibia Thanks for watching Haim Huli My Flickr Page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/101543943@N04/?
  10. Took this Milkyway 30 sec exposure photo 2 weeks ago in Namibia as part of my 300 photos for startrail..this is one 30 sec frame. The photo was taken with a Canon 7D camera with a Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 lens. Thanks, Haim
  11. NGC6559 at the center of the milkyway is a photo I created from RGB filters only and at BIN1. Telescope: ASA 12'' F3.6 Mount: DDM 85 Unguided Camera: FLI 16200 Mono Filters: Astrodon Thanks for watching Haim Huli My Flickr Page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/101543943@N04/
  12. Hi Frederic, In the process I did all channels details separately at first Ha, OIII, Lum, RGB (RGB I did as one from MaximDL). In photoshop I used LRGB for the Stars and I had to the Red the Ha also. Then I took the Ha photo and deleted the Blue and Green color channel from it and add the OIII has the Blue channel. Then I use an action that is part of the Astronomy Tools called "Synthesize Green Channel from Red and Blue" to create the Green color...the beautiful colors you just pop up. It is the first time I use this technic and I was very happy with the results. I hope it answer your qestions cheers, Haim https://www.flickr.com/photos/101543943@N04/
  13. Thank you all and yes the sky there are amazing.
  14. Took this NGC 7293 aka The Helix nebula during my stay in Namibia. Photo Details: Ha - 45x5Min=225 Min OIII - 15x5Min=75 Min Lum - 6x5Min=30Min RGB - 5x5Min for each channel = 75Min Total Expo: 405Min Telescope: ASA 12'' F3.6 Mount: DDM 85 Unguided Camera: FLI 16200 Mono Filters: Astrodon Thanks for watching Haim https://www.flickr.com/photos/101543943@N04/
  15. Sorry for posting...I don't know how to remove the post....it only give the ability to edit, so I removed the photo and the details.
  16. Took this Milkyway 30 sec exposure photo last week in Namibia as part of my 300 photos for startrail..this is one 30 sec frame. Thanks, Haim
  17. Took this photo of the milkyway last week at the Namibian Kalahari desert. https://www.flickr.com/photos/101543943@N04/48039046618/in/dateposted/ Thanks for watching, Haim My Flicker Page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/101543943@N04/
  18. Thanks Mick Tom - You can see some yellow stars on the right side and above the Galaxy. John - No of course I didn't took all this hardware with me ...I rent it locally. I was quit easy for me to operate it since I also have ASA mount at home.
  19. This is one of my unprocessed left over raw data from my 2017 Namibia trip. Preparing for my 2019 upcoming astrophotography trip I process this NGC4945 beautiful galaxy.
