  5. The DSLR coolers mentioned are well worth using and fairly made as long as you can use a drill and soldering iron.
  6. never had this problem with mine which i have had since they first came out. One thing i have noticed though is that if you tighten the clutches too much on this mount it has a detrimental effect on the guiding so i tend to only tighten mine the minimum required to stop any slippage on the axis.
  7. Wow fabulous image you must be thrilled. Mike
  8. Worm gear bearings are SKF608 2RSH or you can use SKF 608 2Z which has metal dust covers, If you are in the UK you can order these from Simply Bearings. Simply Bearings Ltd Halton House Greenfold Way Leigh Greater Manchester WN7 3XJ 01942 269837

  15. That's a pity can you male a slot in the head to get a slotted screwdriver in. I take it you have sprayed it with wd40 and given it time to work its way in. Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk
  16. The counterweight shaft does have to come out that way, get a screw extractor to try first before drilling it out. Mike Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk
  17. Have you managed to undo the RA and dissemble it? Sent from my Hudl 2 using Tapatalk
  18. Yes there are make sure they are fully loosened so you don't damage the thread when undoing the black collar. You will then be able to pull the Ra axis out and remove the ball bearings and thrust bearings, just make sure you lay the parts out in the order that you extract them. 21. My Newt Slightly out of date PIC as it now has an off axis guider fitted.
  22. Yes that's right I recon the steel washers are smoother and more hard wearing then the material the casing is cast from.
  23. So was the missing washer from the Dec axis the one closest to the mount casting.
  24. Just stripped mine down and there is one either side of the bearing but it may be stuck to the casing inside with grease. I am photographing it all to show you mine. You have checked that the finer clutch plate doesn't have grease on it haven't you!
