  1. Yes. I double checked and it was on my meteor camera at the same time. Pretty lucky!!
  2. At about 10pm I switched to the scope, and had a mare getting all running again. Guiding was excellent last night, with total RMS of 0.9, and then the computer crashed about 6 subs after I left it, shame as I had some lovely subs of M101. As for the F stop - I couldnt get focus, then ended up just stopping down to F8, I do have some at F2.8 F4 F5.6 that I can look at later. It was late last night when I wrapped up and am away doing an outreach even tonight at a local school.
  3. My new lens arrived yesterday, and had some clear skies last night! A few high clouds but Im very happy with this. It was 3 x 150s at ISO400 F8. I am very new to widefield imaging, and it certainly seems harder than using the telescope due to the smaller scale of everything. This is a reduced size but uncropped stack of three subs on a full frame sensor.
  4. Thanks! Clearish night too for first light. Orion and meteor
  5. Looks great. Nice blue colour and the shelf is useful ?
  6. Fabulous. I’m debating whether to get a 135 or a 180mm lens. How much cropping did you do?
  7. I even put skirting in my warm room ? and a laminate floor. It’s the small things
  8. Wow the detail in the full version is incredible.
  9. Thanks Mike I just asked as I have a couple of mono and a colour camera (USB) with the 640x480 sensors, and a 2.1mm lens. I do have a ZWO120MM but it's being used as a guider. I tried it very briefly last night but I got an error message trying to connect a DMK camera, so I'll sit down with the instructions and work it out. Will it work with an analogue camera via a USB 'grabber' (eg pinnacle dazzle)? I'm in the process of thinking about an enclosure, and making my own, so that's the long term plan. Adam.
  10. I'm going to give this a whirl tonight. What type of camera works best?
  11. @discardedastroThat is nice, and I'm sure it could be modified to fit a small PC fan to improve cooling and airflow.
  12. What a great story with a happy ending. Hope you get out there and take some shots with the Canon.
  13. The second image is a dark frame with the lens cap on the scope, so it can’t be anything to do with what is being imaged in the light frame eg bright star at the edge of the FOV. I’ll start the betting and say it’s light coming in from behind the primary, maybe your computer screen or a light.
