Firstly - are you imaging M51 in narrowband? Secondly - you should go through each sub manually, look at it, and deselect or delete any bad ones - giving us three subs 'chosen at random' is pretty much pointless if I'm being honest with you.

Hi Martin There are very limited instructions with the new mount. Is it just a matter of removing 6 bolts from the plate, setting this on, and using the 6 longer bolts to attach it? Thanks Adam
-
Thanks David. I’ll be keen to get my 10” Newt on it, and kinda regret selling a 12” PDS I had.

The losmandy clamp is in a bag along with the controller and wires, and the invoice lol

Data shortage or not, that’s pretty damn good! I’d be more than happy with that.
-
I finally collected the mount late last night. Dropped of the CW shaft at a friends to get CWs sorted out. Solid looking bit of kit 😍
-
That's very helpful, I cant thank you enough. My connector looks to be wired in a slightly differently but based on your diagram position 1 as you say. To avoid any cockups, can you confirm both wires go into the arrows connector space.
-
Thanks again. I’ve had a read through those.

@Jkulin Thats great John, appreciate it. I'm faffing around with sheets of paper, just want to try to find a single plastic acrylic sheet or film that I can use. I think I'll order a few bits and see how it fairs out, it isnt that dear.
-
John, if I can ask, can you elaborate? I'm using a flat panel, on dimmest setting, and with a 42% acrylic sheet diffuser, and it still is far too bright.
-
Or the 40d, both excellent. A 1000d is also a good model to consider.
-
That is excellent news! Get ready for the next problem 😂

There is the possibly of tilt in the camera chip as @ollypenrice says. This isn’t uncommon. -
That’s a good effort Brian, worth the persistence.

I have one one of these little scopes. My daughter uses the tripod for her little digital camera. I took the scope on holiday and used it as a long focal length lens to capture a rocket launch from 5 miles away using a Canon 1000d. Vignetting as expected. I’d be interested to know how to collimate it.

Thank you so much again. Yes I have a solar panel here too. The guy I bought it off kindly dismantled and delivered it himself, but I didn’t see before purchase and I wasn’t even here when it arrived. So it’s all guess work. There are holes in the panels for the controllers.

On a plus side, I see two antennae - one on shutter circuit board and one on dome controller - so does that mean my shutter is controller via this?
-
Not off to a great start. Couple of wires seem to be out of their connectors. A black on that comes from the power switch (behind what I labelled 1 and 3) and a thin blue wire. It all seems pretty fragile. Would you happen to know where they go?
-
Thanks @Stufor merging the threads.
-
Cheers. It’s how it came when I bought it, and has been dry stored since sept, will definitely be tidied prior to installation. Just a few spider carcasses, cobwebs and spider poop 💩 I have a new 12v battery ordered for the shutter as the current one is not charging. I might be over looking it, but I can’t see the Shelyak Ascom driver on the Ascom site. That’s a good call, maybe see if I can get it merged with my observatory thread

Thanks. This was a concern of mine, and as such I have the four walls assembled on the floor in the circle shape. It’s taken over most of the garage so looking forward to getting the space back.
-
I dont know. I bought the dome last September and it’s been sitting in my garage since. I didn’t know about the wireless upgrade so I didn’t ask at the time. Its very reassuring to hear you have the same system and it works.
-
Thanks, definitely a good start having all the kit. I think @Xsubmariner might use the system, the username up on a google search

These are my highlights of 2019. All taken at around 500mm focal length with Tak Epsilon 180ed and/or SW ED-80, on EQ6-Pro.
