Have been reading Peter's website this morning - Looking forward to this immensely! While I'm here, were going to do the Q&A a little differently tonight... We'll give you the opportunity ask your question, rather than Grant or I do it. We did it for Mark and Ian's talk on Wednesday last, and it worked quite well! So, what we're suggesting is: Ask your question in Chat as normal - so we can see who has a question If you are not able to ask it yourself, or prefer not to, put a *N at the end, and then we'll know to ask it for you We'll click a button when it's time, and then Zoom will pop up a notice saying "the host wants you to unmute" Click on that and away you go! See you all tonight! -
Just a bit! @silentrunning- if you ever fancy doing tutorials in FreeCAD.....!!!

Hi all These are all great suggestions and many, many thanks for them all!! We have a couple of ideas on how we can approach these - bear with us as we work through the practicalities of them! And don't stop suggesting!!

Hi all Please use this thread for any suggestions you would like to see for future talks. Imaging is clearly going to be a popular subject, so we are working on putting together a whole suit of workshops and talks relating to all aspects of imaging, including post processing - Stacking, Aligning, Stretching, Nose Reduction, etc.. We're also looking at Planetary/Lunar imaging/processing as well. We're really keen to hear from Observers , so we can use the platform to reach out to all astronomers. Traditional observers, Bino-viewers or binocular users, solar projectionists, sketchers - done any eye piece comparisons you'd like to share? We really do want to hear from you! Over to you!

Really glad to hear you all enjoyed it! It was great fun for us too!! Steve will certainly be invited back for more talks/demo's in future sessions! Looking forward to seeing you all again this week for Niz Szymanek's talk!

Just a quick update - we'll publish the meeting ID by lunchtime tomorrow!
-
So, to be clear: 1. You do NOT need a paid-for Zoom account to join the meeting. FLO are covering the costs for a Professional subscription for, so there are no time limits. You don't even need a Zoom account to join. You will just need to download the client - it takes a few minutes. You can join by phone or tablet, there are apps in the Google Play and Apple Store for Zoom. 2. We will post the meeting ID and password on here tomorrow, so you will have plenty of notice. The session will start promptly at 8pm, but don't worry if you are a bit late, we'll still let you in We are really excited by this - should be huge fun! And please do share the word with societies or other groups! And please do get in touch if you would like to do a talk, or have a suggestion for future topics. See you tomorrow!

The new WBPP script in PI makes the calibration and integration much much slicker in PI now. Especially if you invest the extra time to generate the CosmicCorrection and plug that in.... -
I think wxsatuser means you need to run a separate green/yellow earthing wire from the main earthing block (in the distribution board in your house) to the pier itself. This is separate and different to the earthing cable in the armoured cable that you'll install. And again, I think this is because you are using a metal pier and have attached your sockets to the pier. This separate cable should be 10mm in diameter. Of course, you should check with a qualified electrician to confirm!

Yep, that would be that then!! :D

You know what..... this could well be a complete brain meltdown on my part... Yes, that is locked to the RIGHT - and it should indeed be locked to the LEFT!! /Daz is off to hide in embarrassment 👍
