  2. Oh nearly forgot anyone found plant 9 yet?
  3. Throughly enjoyed the show so far, nice to see the southern sky , and weird to see everything upside down at least to us in the U.K, Personally I think the bbc made a good choice doing this years show from OZ , nice change and some interesting characters on the show! Also like the way they've tied the astronomy into the folk law and country Ie continental drift, and there's still plenty for the folk who like to look at telescopes! Overall a decent programme with a broad rage of appeal and a bit of humor too.
  4. Thanks guys I'll have a look at the suggestions , it's a real shame the Brazilian guys don't do them any more but hey ho, thanks again
  5. Just tried a power adaptor but same issue? Can select alignment manually from set up menu but won't go to it on start up?
  6. Yes got the date format right, but nearly fooled the first time I used it , I'll try a mains adaptor ASAP , if that doesn't work maybe update firm ware?
  7. Ok thanks I try a mains adaptor see if that does the trick

  10. Hi all, can anyone direct me to a link or web site that I can get a Bluetooth controller that will work between a widows tablet and a synscan Az mount? I did read some time ago that a Brazilian company did such a thing but it appears they are now defunct. Thanks.

  14. Thank you, yes great sunspots!
  15. My best shot of today st102 with solar film on and canon 550d.
  16. Wow what a day, working from home and poping into garden in the 25 degree sun to watch the Mercury transit! Pretty good sky's all day in Leicester and wonderful views of the transit, sometimes it all works out just fine! Image included not a great pic but you can see Mercury clearly in the bottom third of the solar disk!
  17. Wow! Superb Mercury looking great jus coming in to view on the edge of the sun!
  18. All set up! Little hazy but I can see quite well when sun bursts through! Looking good huge group of sun spots today too!
  19. I tend to use mine with a c90 for Jupiter and Saturn , so the c90 is so short it cuts down on the wobble, and is pretty steady I've also added a £3 astro boot sw slo mo control to replace the little aluminium knob on the Dec bracket this helps a lot when adjusting tne Dec movement. See pic...
  20. Yep it's the wedge that causes the wobble alright I have the same issue with mine! Once the head it loaded with a scope n weights you can see the wedge flex when you touch it or the wind blows, how' ever I love my little SA it never complains and seems always to track very well , it makes a good little grab n go mount with auto tracking ! I recon it tracks well when on its limit cos it has robust metal gearing inside , and not nasty plastic gears found in so many cheaper alt az goto mounts.
  21. Here is mine C90 on Star adventuer, all fits in the c90 back back!
  22. M45 , and M42 there both easy to find and wold suit your scope camera combo.
