Looking again my thought is cable snagging just a little can cause vibration and subsequent image wobble, and the cable to the battery when on the pillar looked to close and could interfere with the mount.
-
Sharpcap has a function for chromatic aberration in the latest release I've found effective when I've tried it on a few of my images.

Just as an off shot have you tried a different cable from the camera in case it's noise interference causing your banding

Deep sky stacker got a comet stacker update last year and ASTAP I think it was this year, what are you using for processing?
-
Thanks. The L bracket I've used here to similar effect but I'm a rubber band fan for fixings

The image is great lots to see in it. How did you mount your phone or was it propped on something?

East and West up to 50 degrees or so northern hemisphere would show little to none the lower the altitude and plus being portrait helps not exaggerate it

The orientation of the S50 is portrait and exposure length short individual frames wouldn't show field rotation that obvious though target direction influenced. A stack would through I expect from first to last frame. If you had 300 frames and stacked just one every 50 frames you might see the rotation by the way the frame edges where outlined on the stack

removed picture I'll see if can find a different one

Hi let's help you to get started. Are the trusses fully extended and clicked into their full extension. Use the 25mm eyepiece lowest magnification and slowly wind the focuser from all the way in to all the way out somewhere along that you'll find focus.

hi welcome to the az-gti, loads here

Have you looked at deepskycamera beta
I have lightly looked and noticed it gave manual controls but not actually using it as still trying with default app on the phone
I'm not sure if I'll keep it as not getting a chance to try

The idea being it spreads the sharpness without comprising the outer thirds by dead centre focusing

If IR is your thing what about the 462MM
-
When you select a star to use for getting focus as good as you can get it, it might help to not use a star that is in the centre of your frame but pick a star where one of the thirds of the frame intersect and look at that as you adjust focus

If using your camera with anything say asistudio or sharpcap I find it helps to practice with it when it's cloudy. I'm very happy with the camera.
-
Where possible choose a star where the thirds intersect to focus on rather than centre it might help even out focus across the frame.

Also if imaging DSO the IR/UV filter helps as with out any filter stars can be a bit bloated.
I have the same camera, I went for the astromimix 742 though I hadn't got to use it much yet.

Is that the ZWO462 MM or MC version you have?
-
Hi, it would be find a camera with a short distance to the sensor as there's limited inward focuser travel available. So have a look to see what CMOS cameras people have used specifically with your telescope.
or could look at projection imaging options

That's great, what version of sky safari is that old Samsung 4,5,6 or 7 please?
