  1. I had got the pipe from BQ. Thought I could sand it down. Then the serendipitous moment I walked passed my vacuum cleaner...Hey, I thought, I wonder what size the plastic tube extension tube is?...1 1/4"

Any old 35mm film canisters laying around...thats right, you got it...1 1/4" too .

  2. Hi.

Lets say I have upto £50 to spend on an eyepiece. Bare in mind that I only have a 114mm Newt'. What eye piece should I purchase? I can make out M42, jupiters cloud belts etc. I have the 10mm and 25mm that came with the scope. They must be basement quality.

17mm Skywatcher SP Plossl at £20 (I could get a pair)? Would this be a worthwile upgrade? Or should I spend the £50 on one eyepiece?

    Ideas?

    Thanks

    Ras Skipper

  3. Ah, you've gone for the posh, expensive webcam, RS!

JimD LOL....I wanted the 1080p HD version....the mrs thought otherwise....I had better not tell her about the Dob' I got my eye on!

Is this correct, Ras Skipper, does the cam have webcam software and Pan, tilt, and zoom controls!

    Jim

Ben_Jim, It does seem to come with some software, as you say. I dont think that i'll be using it though. SharpCap should do the job. (I may well give it a test after i'm ready to go)
