  1. HELP!! Has anyone ever successfully used a Skywatcher Synguider (the stand alone guide camera) with the Skywatcher 9x50 finderscope?? This is the finderscope that I have as part of my Evostar 80 ED DS Pro. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi Steve Welcome to SGL. I'm a newbie and waiting for my new scope which hopefully arrives tomorrow after many changes of mind and realising that AP is what I really want to do - very excited! Good luck in your astro aspirations! Clear skies Walt
  3. Wow, fantastic! Well done. I would be very proud to capture such an image!
  4. Hi Steve and welcome. Like you I'm new and incredibly I've changed my mind (and my final order!) about my first scope 3 times and finally ordered it yesterday. My biggest issue is wanting good aperture size, good optics but wanting a robust kit I can pack up and not be dominating my house! I went for a Meade ETX 125AT and Baader Hyperion Eyepieces. Waiting for it to arrive and give it a 'GoTo'... All the best Walt
  5. Hi and welcome to SGL!
  6. Great discussion everyone. I have a 150P SYNSCAN GOTO (EQ3 pro) on order but still have the option to change....would I be better off buying a larger scope/heftier mount and upgrade to GOTO later? Astro photography would be my ultimate aim to develop over the years. What do you think?
  7. Similar story for me my friend - welcome to SGL!
  8. Welcome to SGL! Newbie as well. I'm also getting a set of bins and hopefully will be good after much homework. The Meades I know nothing about sorry but it's a good brand.

  11. Hi Craig, likewise I am new and have ordered the same scope so looking forward to hearing sometime how you get on with it.
  12. Szervusz Peter! (I lived in Budapest for 2 years) - I'm new to astronomy too, welcome! Walt
