  1. Have sorted it . Knobby had it right , all in the mount setting. Thanks for the help
  2. I had to download a firmware file from the celestron site to fix a "Boot Loader" message. Up to that problem it showed Nexstar 6 but since, the new opening message.
  3. Having sorted out my previous handset software problem , I now have a functioning handset which dispays "Advanced GT" instead of " NexStar SE". I assume ignoring this will cause all sorts of problems when the clouds go away. Anyone know where I can find the soulution?. Thanks also to all who helped with my previous cry for help.
  4. thanks for the help / i'll let you know how it goes
  5. Switching on taday I got the message "Boot Loader...Invalid Pkg:0080". Nothing I do will make the thing work. What have I done?
  6. I joined SGL on New years Eve as all Google searches seemed to point this way . Having browsed a while I understand why, there is indeed a rich mine of knowledge here. Santa brought me a Nex Star 6 for Christmas which I am enjoying playing with, and if the clouds ever clear off ,I hope, with a little help from my new friends, to put to good use. So feeling my way at the moment but in no great hurry.
