Hi everyone
Never had much luck with skywatcher refractors, but this 72ed seemed tolerable, especially with the 4 element ff. Instead of the expected fat blue blobs, reasonable stars emerged.
Does anyone else use a 72? How do you find it?
Wishing you clear skies and thanks for looking.

V nice, I had a 72 for a while a few years back. Always called it my first adult scope! only got rid of it as I got a Askar 400 and it didnt get used much after that. Always found that it was a good reliable scope apart from a little issue with the focuser. Sorted that by putting a motor drive on it,

You know that feelin when you have waited for days or longer for an evening or two of clear skies for imaging?
Well, imaging those evenings arriving to coincide with such a stinking head cold that the wooly feeling in your head would pose a serious risk to your equipment safety 😠
I lost out on those clear nights due to my laptop having a hissey fit after some updates! think it was a puter head cold! hope yoyu get well soon.

Thanks! Just seen your effort and it’s fantastic too. Much prefer the red in Ha that you have. I couldn’t bring out the O3 in WR134 without getting more pink hues in Ha.
I was going to re do a lot of it but its out of my field of view, hopefully next year with better weather Ill get closer to your image.

WR134!
I like this, something different and even though I’ve done the tulip widefield I’d never heard of WR134.Thank you. Niether had i untill I was browsing Astrobin looking for something to image the other night. When WR 134 is done well it looks great, mine is not close to some of those images yet.

After seeing some very nice images of this area I thought I would give it ago, well with a full moon and lots of cloud I got only 18 subs of 240s of those only 10 should have been used but I through them all in the pot! The target has now past my field of view so I cant add any more to it till next year so here is the result. Dont look to hard as the stars are pants! and the background is a little mowh! but it is what it is. I will make an effort to do better next time especially with those stars! As a bonus I did get the Tulip neb.
Thanks for looking.

I'm no expert but definitely like the second image better for the star colour. The first image has, to my old eyes more detail.
