  1. Hi yes so the 183 is osc and the 178 is the mono Thanks
  2. I need a bit of advice if imaging with 2 setups with different fov, one osc and the other mono. Which should get the wider fov? So this is what i get in stellarium. I have a 0.6 and 0.8 FR, and depending on which train has the 0.6 means that ota gets the larger FOV. On pixel suitability the 60mm seem ideal with both FR's but the 102mm at 0.8FR not so much.
  3. So it has come to decision time for my dual imaging setup. Im just missing my second camera. Im on entry level budget so no 2600. The question may be more osc or mono? The idea being to double up on my dat every session.Any advice would be appreciated. Possible cameras zwo183mm pro or altair 183m fan cooled? My setup Altair 102mm 0.6 FR @428mm FL (with the asi183mc pro) Altair 60mm triplet @420 FL (2nd camera) Asi183mc pro asi224mc zwo oag Astromiks 12nm Ha filter Zwo duo filter Altair max pro filter Avx mount Bortle 6
  4. Hi thank you for the help. I was going to get the focal reducer, that way i have 2 scopes for the price of 1. Plus it doubles the eyepieces modifications range. Even thou there will be field rotation and i will need plenty of shots, it will a good learning curve. I had a manual 200mm eq reflector years ago which i found frustrating setting up. It put me off for a few years. Now that tech has moved along and the astro bug in me has come out again. My short shopping list at the moment is Nexstar 6SE Wifi module Focal reducer The appropriate lenses?? Lithium battery pack Thank
  5. Awesome images taken in this topic. I am picking up a celestron 6SE this Saturday and have been hunting for info for what imaging kit i need. All suppliers have advised me is i would HAVE to spen atleast £700 on a ccd to do any deep sky!!!! Im sure they are advising correct as in high end images you get in magazines. But after what i have seen great thread im not sure if i mind a pixel out here and there. Thanks guys
