  1. Nah I think the cat and the wine are just holograms, the clouds are real though.
  2. Just goes to show any things possible and rules can be broken?
  3. Yep their not called heavy duty for nothing you should be fine.
  4. Certainly a very smart and neat looking case Shane I'm just glad I don't use a binoview or anything green and black. My Missus wouldn't understand me buying a spare ep each time.
  5. I'm the same all mine are used in 2 inch mode can't be hassled with the adapter.
  6. I'm on the edge of town and have good views to the north(unfortunately)and to the east when everyone's gone to bed and have often seen the Milky Way but generally if I can see the stars making up Ursa Minor then it's scope out time.It doesn't happen that often though.
  7. It looks nice but the price mmm I've found my Cg5 to be portable either using ra drive or slo mo and it probably cost the bit over the £1000 their asking for it but hey it's your money.I will say it again though it looks nice.
  8. Since having my neq6 my Telrad seems to have been made redundant as the goto just works I still use the finderscope because it has the crosshairs for accuracy but in theory do I need that?.When doing a two star alignment I generally use my low power ep then press up or down to centre it press enter and off I go.The scope would look odd though without a Telrad or finder, has anyone actually dispensed with both? ps I still haven't replaced the batteries in my Telrad they must be four years old now and that's with leaving it on for several days at a time.
  9. Compared to the old beast that is tiny will you be able to find it in the dark?.Lovely mount though.Congrats.
  10. Same here I always drool abit when I see lovely glass?
  11. What deprivation only one piece of black and green maybe we should have a whip round?
  12. It,s similar to my brothers Helios you should get really good views but because of "bird-jones" design collimating might be awkward however doable. He had his for a couple of years and after looking thru it I took the plunge so I wouldn't worry to much. ps he sold his for £50 so price seems fair.
  13. Wow loving box number 1 does it come with it's own security guard?
  14. Hi there and welcome back to SGL
  15. Wow this is an old thread, hang on I,ve replied to it!
  16. Hi there and welcome to SGL have the same scope and similar mount you will get years of enjoyment from them.
  17. Leaving it in dry rice helps the rice helps absorb all the moisture(did this with a mobile phone that fell in the toilet don't ask)
  18. Mine played up once and it was just a case of opening cleaning all contacts checking joints and connectors letting it dry thoroughly and then reassemble, abit similar to a tv remote it was a small piece of dirt that rendered mine useless and that was two years ago and it still works.Got to be worth a try(free).Oh where the power lead plugs into the handset check that as well they can become abit hit and miss
  19. How do you look through the ep when it's in that position or am I missing something?
  20. If you buy an optical finder you will still end up buying a Telrad so stick with a Telrad,I use both but I would be lost without a Telrad.
