What is the sweet spot for an ASI2600 camera?
Astrobug replied to osbourne one-nil's topic in Discussions - Cameras
Im using the 2600mm on a Newton 200 f5 and a friend of mine on a c9 with a focal reducer. We did both m81 last winter. On the c9 your could still see some extra details. Under the belgium sky I would think the sweet spot on good nights is around 1300mm FL -
Feedback esprit 150 0.77 focal reducer
Astrobug replied to Astrobug's topic in Discussions - Scopes / Whole setups
The plan is to use it with the zwo 2600mm , 33mm will do the job but no pictures to find with these small pixels. You use it with your 6D? -

Sure I'm happy with the outcome. About the spikes, it is a newton with curved spiders. They are shorter but thicker. Star reduction is next on the doto list

NEW Sky-Watcher 0.77x Reducers for Esprit 120 & 150
Astrobug replied to FLO's topic in Sponsor Announcements and Offers
You will never have a full frame reducer for an esprit. It is 34 = 44x0.77. For the price it is a good deal. If the stars are fine in the corners i don´t see an issue. Good job SW. -
Little update by adding some sharpness to the image. See 1st post. Best to see in full resolution.

SW Quattro 10" vs 12" for imaging
Astrobug replied to Northernlight's topic in Getting Started With Imaging
With the actual small pixels you are fine with 1m FL. More is oversampling most of the time. -
This is data from 2018 reworked. This time it worked to get the coulours from OIII & SII. Click on the image for the full. ASI 1600MM pro H-alpha (6nm) 265 x 120 sec OIII 97 (6nm) x 120 sec SII 91(6nm) x 120 sec Esprit 100 Avalon Linear & autoguiding Software APT, EQ mod, Pix & PS CS6.
