Sound information on there Martin, nice one.
I'll also put my plug in for building a simple barn door mount, sticking
your existing camera on top and taking very long exposure widefields
for even less cost 8)

OK so its well known to most but maybe someone just starting out might find it usefull.
I came across this on the internet.
Its a list of observing targets on the moon from 1 to 100 (1 being easiest to 100 hardest)
I found it very handy in first finding my way around the moon and it concentrates the mind and
trains the eye to observe.
Here's a couple of links
First, a map showing where the targets are in PDF format

And second, a sheet naming the targets with tick boxes as you work your way through it also PDF format

Worth printing out to take outside with you at the scope.

Nope, much better to use insulated wire... good source is a meter say of phone extension wire as it has many cores and each core has different colours....
