    Solar Eclipce march 20 2015

Took pictures from begining to end of ecipse in Germany on the 20th of march here are a few pictures
  2. Well it has been soooo long since I've been on here....just can't find the time to do everything.....I even forgot my password and user name LOL! The solar eclipce in Germany sparked my interest in astronomy again and I took pics with my pont and shoot of the whole eclipce and will be posting some pics shortly

  3. Well the last post was from me on the 15th of August.....doesn't anyone know anything about this scope???
  4. just now google terrestrial erect image lens thought it was a barlow lens....no have not used it yet. Just got scope couple of days ago...would still like to know a little more about this scope, like how old what kind ex,.....and about twist knob yes exactly how you explained....
  5. Well the finder scope is fine it seems but when I switch over I can't get the immage in focus......have not had a go at the stars yet.....just brought this home today and I am in the process of cleaning it.....was standing in the attic the last15 years. and the person who it belonged to left it behind when he moved out. who knows how long he had it before that
  6. I've recently acquired an old refractor telescope...it is in not to good of shape and was thinking about putting this on a eq. mount. Is this possible? This old mount I think is missing some original pieces like screws for the tube mount and on the finder scope the lens is loose and other small details.....I thought this scope would be good for viewing closer objects like the moon and the sun.....Anyone ever seen this scope before? Never seen one like this before and I think it is at least 20 + years old. Would greatly appreciate any info on this scope
  7. Well I said it would be a long time but I am finaly back...have had no time for astronomy lately. To many other hobbies... I'm trying to get back into shape and have been doing lots of bike ridding....also have bought a new canon 600d and have not even had the time to fully understand how everything works....the reason I bought this was for making timelapst photagraphy.....if the day had 12 hours of light and 24 hours of night (36 hour day) maybe I could get around to doing everything.LOL...

  9. just wanted to say hello...I will probably be a long time before I get back here. The life of a trucker.....long hours, two grand kids....does not leave much time for astronomy :( Just too tiered at night and by the time it's dark enough to look through scope I'm in bed cause I have to get up the next day at 5 am.....the only reason I have time for this is that my truck is in the shop......take care everyone, and I wish you dark skies :)

  10. Hello everyone...just wanted to stop by and say hello and also to say I'm still alive......lol! astronomy has been put on hold du to the fact that I have been so busy lately...work, family, and also been on other forum(http://www.crossfire.swat-portal.com/)yes it's a gaming forum....almost 50 but still like playing games :) still thinking on buying a new kit but it is probably going to remain a dream for sometime.......don't know when I'll be back here again. If for so...

If not then I could buy it at post office when I get to England too right?might not decide to come untill the last minute.....sometime around the end of febuary....hopfuly there will still be enough room for me to set up camp.....again thanks for the info...

hello from Germany...just read this thread from you...and about the fishing it is not totally about being illegal...I wrote to the camp site and they sent me this mesage......Good Morning Robert, Thank you for your enquiry. Depending on your unit we have some hardstanding pitches and some grass pitches reserved. The pitches are very generous and we put one caravan or one tent per pitch. The unit price includes two persons. The elecrtic is charged per day no matter how much you use. We have 16amp 240 volt electric but you need your own adapter and cable. The course fishing actually closes on the 14th March until June. The only fishing available is fly fishing. Dont hesitate to contact us if you have any futher questions, Regards, Jane. ----- Original Message ----- From:Caravan Sitefinder To:Lucksall Caravan & Camping Park Sent: Saturday, September 22, 2012 9:06 PMalso malc-c wrote........ Agreed, if you have the correct fishing license for migratory trout and salmon then taking brown trout on the fly from the river between 22nd March and 30th September is perfectly legal. Salmon can also be taken between February and October, however if you have a normal course license you could risk a fine as it would be deemed the same as having no license at all. .....and as long as I am on the subject , how would a person like me from a other land visiting go about getting the "right" license for fly fishing? and the costs? regards rob
  13. um... that is not quite true......got this e-mail a short while back from camp site.....and unless I misunderstood this fly fishing is allowed....Good Morning Robert, Thank you for your enquiry.
