      Forget the goto...unless of course you don't know your away across the sky. I've got hte 300P and it's pretty powerful. I could resolve globular clusters down to the core...I do have near-good skies though.

      Can't wait till daylight starts getting shorter...I think mid August will begin to be reasonable

  17. will a 14 inch dob base fit thriugh a standed door?

      Depends which one. My old darkstar does and Orion Optics do I think but I'm sure I heard of someone having to adapt the base of a Skywatcher to get it to do so.

      A 14" skywatcher will not, the 12" will with an inch or so to spare. The 14" flextube base. I believe will dismantle into three sections though.

      unscrewed the secondary to much and not sure i got it back in right place.i'll get it sorted i suppose

      I'm sure it will be completely fixable! If you have a local astronomy club/centre I'm sure they will be able to help!
