I have a number of items to maybe pass on to get better use by others but am totally un-aware of what the rules are now for selling to the UK. I could of course just advertise sales to within the EU using the forum but that to me seems a bit unfair on my countrymen. I have not decided what will be up for grabs but it will be decent quality stuff. Alan

Mine do go up and down, say it is set at minus 5 it varies between 4.7 and 5.3 not quickly but over say 3-4 minutes. In fact it rarely reads minus5. Alan

Don't have this model but both my 183mc and 071 fluctuate by about the same amount, maybe even a bit more. I have had mine some time so I don't really see it as an issue, it doesn't appear to be to me. Alan

These were some of the best photo's I have ever seen of the Moon, so good it is difficult to believe they were not taken from orbit above the surface. Alan

It's not impossible to hide Alnitak but it is a messing about. One of the Mods did a video on it a few years ago though I have tried many times to follow I just can't, his result was excellent though. I did lean a cheat way of doing it that worked well though. This is a scope I am considering, though it is a pain now with the EU import changes. Alan

My sky generally is superb Mick, and I get about 11 degrees on your location, it all helps. You can always add to your data and I am sure you will brush my effort aside very soon, Alan

I took mine at F7 on my 115mm APO I am a little surprised you were not showing more dust lanes on yours as nice as it is, I did have a fair bit of data though. I can remember not long back when 2 hours was tops, amazing what a difference it makes. I need to polish my guiding up though, I must sort this OAG out, I have only had it 2 years. Alan

Your correct too, maybe from dither or the fact that I spent a few nights on it and only ever line up by eye, not a very good eye in this case. Alan.

No your correct it is where having shot this target about 5 nights and have not lined up spot on, could also be artifacts from dither. Thanks for the kind words and I will redo it. Alan

I have now collected 13 hours on this though I have lost a chunk as hazy cloud I felt was spoiling the finished capture, maybe there are still a few but with over 200 3 minute subs I got a bit fed up of looking so went with a percentage selection to hopefully weed them out. I do feel that having read something Olly wrote some time ago, something like, I use to do 3 captures a night now I do 3 nights on one capture, and followed it my work has improved a tad. Feel free to comment on processing which is an area many can always improve on. I have tried to keep it feeling natural Alan

Nice to see a different take on this, I have just done 13 hour of OSC, though I lost a bit through light hazy cloud that I thought best removed. Very nice shot. Alan

I don't have a light pollution problem really around me, the odd street lamp but that's about it. Yes LED type lights from town do lighten the sky to the south east but that's 4 miles or more away. What annoys me it the lighting left on all night high on the hill way across the other side of the river, it's over 3 miles so not an issue of LP, it lights the old town area that absolutely no one goes to other than during the day and even then we are talking very few, I can't imagine why anyone would be up there at 10 at night, it's just a waste of electricity. Well I think everything was thrown at this 8 hour effort from hazy cloud to poor guiding and even a touch of frost on everything, and not a sign of David Jason. This is just over 8 hours and a 94% selection of the frames which were 3 minute on an 071 at 800mm. I think I may well add to this as more an more comes out as I build up the data, lots of colours coming into play here and I am not totally sure if they are there or whether I am manufacturing them, if I am I have tried to keep it sort of natural. Feel free to offer advice, it is only you lot that have got me to this point, Best wishes to everyone. Alan

Been think about it Rodd, I even have the reducer to take it down to1980mm and F6.3 which I imagine would help as I only have a CEM 60, the weight would be a tad over the limit, maybe a big tad. I started out doing 15 sec subs on the normal LX200 mount ans actually got a result at 3048mm, the Ring was the target and someone commented wow what a shot in the competitions some time back, then I realised I was breaking the rules having shot it some year before the limits of time. Seeing here though will always better the UK I would think, I'm lucky with that, though it is a bit dull and damp lately. Alan

As good as any I have seen, lovely detail in there. C11 not easy to work with I am told, I keep looking at my Meade 12 inch which I even bought mounting rails for but so far have resisted Alan

Sorry to hear of your loss Peter, a lovely image though I feel it's a touch too red for my tastes, though having said that I have most likely processed to a similar level. This would be difficult from your home as it is low, I dare say that in Spain you are touch better off than me here, I have done this but I am limited with my walnut trees to a couple of hours when it is at it's highest. I have moved this to a location where you are likely to get a reply, I would have thought the D60 was a decent camera for deep sky imagaing, I use a Canon 40D for a couple of years with lovely result once I got use to all the other stuff. Alan

We have the bad weather now, snow rain and generally damp. When we do get clear skies, which is fairly often they tend to be 3-4 on the trot. Only down side of late is they always seem to be at full Moon period. Still I guess it is winter. Alan
