  1. Fabulous image Olly, I'm always losing data too, and I don't think I have a fraction of that you have. Alan
  2. Lovely set of images, great Rosette image you have taken there. Alan
  3. Fabulous image Rodd, lovely detail. Alan
  4. That's a rather lovely image, love all the dust and some nice detail in there too. Alan
  5. That is as good as any image I have seen from any photographer on here and lets face it some of them are pretty damn good. Alan
  6. Words fail me, you don't just talk the talk Olly you delivery as well. Maybe the best image I have seen. Alan
  7. Yes thats the refractor but I don't know the viewer, but he has only just bought it, so I imagine it's the later one. Alan Yes he is using a TeleVue 2 inch diagonal, I will pass this on. Alan
  8. I am asking this for a friend out here as his English isn't so great. He has a T/S 6 inch scope the focal length is about the 900mm mark, I am not totally sure. He has a Baader Bino viewer and cannot get focus with it. He states when he moves it backward he feels it gets worst though this is not with an extension sleeve and only holding in line above the diagonal. Any pointers to help him out? Alan
  9. I don't know if this is your problem but I imaged this with a F4.3 scope and racked up 5 hours of 3 min subs with a OSC camera and I could hardly see it, it needs a lot of time I believe. Alan
  10. What a lovely capture, everything looks just right. Alan
  11. That is a very nice shot, I keep looking at these dual band filters. I don't have a light pollution problem but would be nice to image at above 3/4 Moon. Alan
  12. Really brings out the detail Rodd, 3 superb shots though by anyone's standards!! Alan
  13. Stunning work Rodd. I have to ask why are you getting spikes on the stars in the Running Man shot, which I assume is a crop. Alan
  14. Nicely done Steve. I always feel there is a tendency to over saturate images, something I am sure I do myself, always nice to see a subtle colouration of an image. What I do find interesting it the double star at '3 o'clock comes out better in the colour image. And if this spell corrector tells me I can't spell colour once more I will scream. Best wishes. Alan
  15. I think you have done a great job on this, i did a couple of hours on this last year and of course can't match you fine capture. Alan
  16. Great piece of work, not the the sort of thing we normally try which is what I like about your work, always something different. Must mount up my M/N 190mm, never going to be in your class but I can at least see what I get. Alan
  17. Your work is always so nicely presented and somewhat different to most I see. Alan
  18. The trouble is with you, you have some of the very best gear money can buy and that deserve to have the very best cameras, tell the lady indoors Alan says it alright. I would love one of the FSQ's that you use so well but they are close to 7 grand now and that before you look at any reducer options. I imagine without checking the 6200 is the full frame version. I guess if you stretch that far there isn't many more things you can buy, but then they will bring something out, they always do. I'm considering a 2600 myself. Alan
  19. No it was just the two bright stars, , I struggle to see how they can market a camera that does that, not dirt cheap either, ruins quality work. Alan
  20. It really does detract from your fine work which is as good as anyone's on the site in my eye's. The 2600 appears to be a lovely camera, I would like one but they don't seem to be a free gift in Cornflakes as yet. Alan
  21. My first thought on these and other captures I think you posted last week are stunning shots ruined by square stars, I really could not put up with that from my work which is very second rate compared to yours. Can amything be done to stop it? Alan
  22. Olly, Can't say I ever noticed it on the 12 inch with the Moonlite focuser made for the reducer hich I used for about 3 years or more. Can't double check it for you as someone is coming to buy it this morning. I would give that idea with the SC 2 inch back a try, the Moonlite is somewhat longer than say the Baader which I also had once. Alan
  23. No there's nothing wrong with the stars on this image Steve, it was with the reducer which I haven't used since I tried it out, think it just needs .3 or.5 shim in the mix even though the info clearly states 55mm, still it's not made by Tak so I can live with that. Alan
