I hate this thread. It's not right that a man in his mid 40's should be salivating over optics! I'm gonna own a frac that's shinny, Gucci, etc etc. No mincing around with after market this that and how's yer father, nor collimating, cool down procedures or dew control. Just the "Apollo Program" attitude of no nonsense "get it done" scope! Bring back the memories of why I started. A Tasco 60mm frac and a look at the moon followed by Jupiter. A 10 year olds dream

What type of focused have you on your 180 mate?

Hi Paul, Yes, I agree with concerns over fork arm but the reviews I read from users in the states etc suggest that on the 8SE it was the tripod that caused the instability. This I presume has been dealt with by installing the CGEM tripod on the 9'25 Evo. Rick

I read an article a while back regarding the 9'25 Evo mount. I recall that it's a larger more sturdy mount than the 8" version
