      lol, i dont think i could leave my kids...... it would be so lonely too! and if the internet went down you could not even keep in touch with your loved ones :( dont get me wrong id love to be in the history books for all eternity but dont think i could do it lol

      yes makes sense to go for the 400 as you say you have the converter so 800mm + crop will be very nice :)

      Ah sorry to hear you,be not had much luck lately, nice one on the course mate, I see your selling your C8 to fund some nice L lens, I had the same thought with my gear a couple months back, so glad I didn't sell up in the end tho, what new L lens are you looking to fund then buddy,

      my very good friend Jake has been helping me out all day with Pixinsight, finally figured out how to get a lovely looking stack now, so tomorrow i will be processing my lovely fresh new stack of M31 :D

      then again, you cant beat primes for sharpness..... but primes are big bucks to cover say the 8mm-400mm focal range.....

      yes the 2.8 is a hell of a lot of money with IS, but at that focal length the IS is a MUST isnt it, no way im the kind of imager to shoot with a non IS lens, u still going to get the 70-200L then, you thought about the 100-400L, im really liking that lens, i was speaking to a guy who had one at an air show a few months ago and my mouth was just drewling looking at it lol

      i do enjoy a lot of daytime togging tho, like BIF and plane shows etc.....also i do like a good timelapse all done with no mount/astrotrac just a simple static tripod

      i was planning on using lenses with the astrotrac, but thinking i might be silly to get rid of my HEQ5 as the HEQ5 and DSLR/lens combo is a winner too......ahhhhh my brain lol
