      I thought it was a type of Galaxy but with a nougat centre that is considerably lighter than that of a Mars ;-)

      some might suggest its a bit excessive when you have GOTO ;)

      set yourself an afternoon aside for the collimation print this guide http://www.astro-baby.com/collimation/astro babys collimation guide.htm read it then read it again and slowly take your time

      yeah it will be so handy simply for alignment when i need to find the stars with the finder/telrad, as when its a dark sky its so hard to make out the star you want through the stock finder, lol so this should just make my life of aligning easier :)

      i know i cant wait to see what all the hype is about :) ive only ever used my SW130p stock finder scope so im hoping for a nice change :)

      Same here. Had to attend a work dinner while outside the skies were totally clear and steady. I came back home (after a few drinks) and a fat rainfall began.

  14. just trying to prepare nearly 1000 jupiter pics so i can PIPP & Registax them for my biggest stack ever :) cant wait to see whats hidden away :D

      i have indeed sir, i was looking at the GRS just a minute ago now, back inside in the warm while its collecting photon's now :)

  18. just downloaded IRIS to see what its like compared to DSS & R6......mhhh i cant figure this program out 1 bit!!! think ill stick to R6 or DSS IRIS looks very old

      WELL THAT WAS WORTH IT!!!! not only did i see and image jupiter! I BAGGED MY 1ST GALAXY!!!! M43!!!! :) and i imaged M43!! im over the MOON, not the best imaging but im very happy :)))

  21. going out with 2 mates tonight to view the meteor shower! as the next 2 days are due for cloud :( taking scope for 1st outing!!! should be an amazing night! looking forward to seeing jupiter and venus also for 1st time :D

      we got one of the best dark spots in uk down the road about half hour drive, my 1st proper dark spot viewing also!!! im BUZZING!!!! :D

      i will do qualia, im starting to find out its ok getting all the data, but its totally another thing processing the gb's of data and stacking and actually putting into a thread loool i got hundreds of pics now, just need to find a spare week to process them all lol,

  25. just looking on stellarium, kinda sucks saturn is nearly below the horizon :( did not even get much imaging done of her :(

      Tingting, it may sound silly but it might be fun to wake up early one day this week and take a peek at Venus and Jupiter.

      ohh that sounds great! id love to be able to spot my 3rd and 4th plantets :D when is the latest in to the morning you can see these then qualia :D
