  1. It shows as well, lovely job, that's come out a treat, nicely captured and processed, Not sure if its my screen , showing it but you seem to have a subtle green hue over the background well done Paul
  2. Your not wrong, Looking at all the ones you have processed this I would say is the best take yet But as they say Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, in other words what me and you think is better other people might not, every one see thing differently. you have done a top job on gathering the data and processing it, I would be very proud Well done Rodd
  3. A very natural looking M13, colours look nice, and you have good resolution on the core. having a pollution filter will help, depending on how bad the light pollution is, if it low , you can normally process it out without to many problems, and add into the mix your focal length set up, as normally the wider the field of view the more gradients you will get to deal with, especially the closer to the horizon you go well done Paul
  4. That's come out nice Michael, Nice details and colours. I feel your pain on trying to focus a fast lens, its a feat in itself, especially if you had it cranked out to f1.4 , the 135mm lens will be a little easier to focus, and with a bit of luck still get all the veil in view, it will be close though. Well done Paul
  5. Very nice image, don't think I have seen this target before, beautifully processed, Thanks for sharing Paul
  6. Hi Everyone, Nice to be getting back into this hobby of ours again, first pic I have posted for a long time. Firstly I would like to publicly Thank Grant at First light optics for helping me Find my ASI 294MC-PRO camera that should have been delivered to my address but was delivered a walking distance away. Thanks Grant. This Pic is first light for the new camera on NGC 7000, the cloud gods were graceful enough to allow 19 subs of 2.5 minutes last Thursday night, Scope was a WO star 71 , on top of a SW eqz mount Still getting my head around the camera , but looking promising Thanks for looking. clear skies and stay safe. Paul
  7. looing good, lots of detail popping out, I like the first version more, , but what ever version you like its a great take on M16 well done Paul
  8. Star shapes look good, overall its a good take on M31, colours are not far off at all, as someone has already said you have a little magenta in there apart from that I would be well pleased with that result. Well done . Paul
  9. Wow, that's something else, Beautifully processed and very good data. Definitely a wall hanger. Paul
  10. Great Capture and processing Rod, Never seen the blue before, so thanks for that, it would be a hard target to gain data in the uk for the blue side of it , Thanks for sharing, great job. Paul
  11. Well done Carole, on two fronts, firstly its a cracking image, and secondly staying up to gain the data on the limited window we have this time of year, The lens done a great job of gaining the data, nice combo with the atik camera Nicely done. Paul
  12. Hi your right about the filter, i was trying out my new camera ..with the optolong l enhance on Thursday..well pleased with it Paul
  13. Nice colours and great separation of stars on the cluster, A very nice take on m13 well done.Paul
  14. Very promising set up for capturing wide field, considering the amount of data gathered I would be quite chuffed with that result, only thing I would say it the red channel looks a little over saturated, apart from that very nice Paul
  15. Nice colours, and the 3 main stars in the nebula are clearly defined, well done Paul
  16. Looking good, you have the start of a nice project , On the plus side this part of the sky will be with us a for a fair while so obtaining the other colours looks promising. Paul
  17. Nicely done, taking advantage of a clear patch has certainly paid off, A great result with some nice detail starting to pop through on m51 well done. Paul
  18. Wow that's beautiful Sara, it looks so surreal love the colours, would make a cracking wall hanger. Nicely done Paul
  19. Hi, In the End it was sent back. shame as it was what I was looking for, I was lucky enough at the time to have quite a few clear nights to try and get it sorted unfortunately I never was able to get it to a level where I could say the stars are ok in the corners, using a adjustable spacer I was going in and out of the purposed sweet spot, never did get right. Not to say they are all like that, you might be lucky and get one that's good from the start. I would like to see some astro photos take with one of these scope at 100% , at the time I could not find one. Paul
  20. I hope to capture the very low orbit satellite's, well under cloud level anyway.
  21. very nice reading, thanks for sharing. Paul

    Andromeda (M31)

A cracking photo id say, colour and composition are top stuff well done Paul
  23. Adrian's description is spot on really, all depending on the Target you are capturing most Nebula will be rich and bright in the HA wave length and very weak in say OIII for the same given exposure length, the main idea of having / combining various NB filters is to create a false colour image by assigning the various wave lengths and assigning them to a particular colour, I.E OIII you could assign to the blue channel There are so many colour variations to be had by this method, or you can even mix the NB data with RGB. It would almost be like On RGB imaging assigning the red to blue the green to red etc. if that makes sense Paul
  24. Well perhaps its me then, the last slow scope I got was a F9 Ritchey Chretien Astrograph, and that had loose mirror bolts and the spacing was wrong, apart from that it was great sarcasm has never been my strong point, that scope was easy to take apart and sort out, I would not like to attempt this scopes optics. Came out and took him one you say, Well that was sweet, was it his neighbour.
  25. You are of course 100% correct Olly, its just a shame that us the consumer plays a guinea pig roll in all this, and some of the sharpest photo's I have ever taken was with my sw 80 ed and f/r at 6.3, and well proven and trusted little scope I am just hoping that TS can sort this scope as it would be a cracker for the outlay, we will have to wait an see.
