I've only been here a short time and only spoken to Steve once (to ask if I could swap some dosh for a shiny new toy), but I feel like SGL and FLO are a mirror of each other. I know that FLO was born from and still has very close ties with SGL and maybe that is part of the reason. In both places I get the feeling that help is always available (and freely given), that I won't be patronised or belittled and that the atmosphere is completely friendly and supportive.

First day as a member, first couple of posts. I am blown away by the help & advice I have already had. A forum is exactly what the members make it; this one is fantastic. Thanks a million.

Suggestions:

1. Every new member gets a free telescope (make mine a 10" RC)

2. Cheeky new members get their heads kicked in

3. Absolutely nothing - it's great as it is
