I still want the title 'Science Officer', but I'm not going to get it
Really? ;)

I suppose a better answer would have been a Hoover Constellation

So what kind of "vacuum" is it?
A Dyson

Hi Rapallokid,
hopefully this screen grab will help... you can go back to any level between the Homepage and the current page by clicking on the relevant "title".... "Stagazers lounge" will take you to the Forums homepage

AFAIK there's no need for Critical alignment between the Guide scope and the imaging scope.. infact you might have to deliberately move the guidescope to find a guidestar - although with a decent sensitive guidecam you very rarely need to...
What is important is that there should be no relative movement between the two during a run.....

Good idea or along similar lines how about a storage trunk - I'd posted this suggestion previously in a similar thread here.
Looks the buisness
My ETX105 goes travelling in a "pirates chest" toy box bought for a couple of quid...

Do a search for flight cases.. there plenty of people making them and you might find something thats a close fit...
We used to use a company called 5 star cases to make custom ones for us...

Worst case I think you could get away with a "gasket" style spacer to give you the extra space for the pulleys

lol no one is that unlucky
Looking around for prices on the auto/piped extinguishers for cars and got a shock to say the least..
Found this though, ideal for a closed obsy
Automatic FE36 fire extinguisher | 1kg auto halon replacement
Also do power ones a bit cheaper.. wouldn't like to see the mess it'd make though
Doing soem "iffy" maths...
An 8'x6' obs is "roughly" 8 Cubic meters volume so you would need at least 5 of the extinguishers.. or one with 5-6kg capacity
They are for confined spaces... engine bays , equipment cabinets etc...
Sorry ...

5FWD - X10 REX-10 Barking Dog Alarm System review by The Gadget Show
Does it come with an RSPCA Aware sticker if you use it in a shed... knowing my luck they would kick the door down thinking the dogs been left locked up in the shed all the time...

Other options...
Mix of overt and covert cams...
Multiple sensors... Dulatech combined PIR/Microwave etc
Dialers...
Sound bombs.. the loudest one you can get... makes it almost impossible to stay anywhere close to them in an enclosed space......

Another good one maybe not go into too much detail of what "measures" you have installed

If you mount it on a wedge and use it in EQ mode then it's possible...
If you fancy a bit of DIY... have a look at this thread...

And some "plans" that I drew up a while back .. they need "Tweaking" for your viewing locations Latitude
