  1. Long term forecast models now include 8 April. From Pivotal Weather (used by storm chasers in USA): https://www.pivotalweather.com/model.php?p=cloudcover&rh=2024032700&fh=gif&dpdt=&mc= Check the animations. Still a long way to go and the below is only a model but the High/Low pressure areas, if they develop as modelled, will have a lot of influence on the clouds moving over or not.... Roberto
  2. Absolutely amazing 🙇‍♂️ Thanks for sharing. Roberto
  3. Beautiful! It's a if someone had flipped a switch for the lights to come ON! Roberto
  4. Fantastic results, congratulations! Roberto
  5. Orlando, It's not difficult. If you struggle soldering the pigtails after taking them off the old battery, just glue them to the new battery. The old pigtails come off the old battery with a little bit of heat. Help yourself with sharp knife. I explained this to Geof last year also when he was looking for some. The batteries are simple 3V button ones. Amazon sells them by the dozens. Roberto
  6. Congratulations on the arrival of 110GTX-030! That portable setup looks sweet! I am going to look up the bag you referenced. I plan to take a Stowaway to Mexico next year for the solar eclipse and it looks just perfect for the trip. Enjoy that jewel! Roberto
  7. Also interested in this for the 2024 eclipse in my case. I've never had a DSLR and would like to use FireCapture or SharpCap to capture AutoRuns of bracketed videos of different exposure lengths. I have an APC-S CMOS which can fit the sun and corona nicely at decent resolution. I was thinking of getting the exposure settings from one of the online calculators and run as many automated videos during totality as possible (starting short and going long in mid-totality to capture earth-shine for example). Although I use FC and SC for all my planetary, solar, lunar imaging, I have never imaged an eclipse - so interested in what other people do. It can be done though: http://www.zam.fme.vutbr.cz/~druck/eclipse/Ecl2019ch/Tres_Cruses/TC_347mm/0-info.htm with an ASI1600MM. Roberto
  8. A couple from Saturday and Sunday's evening...could not see the aurora from London though 😒
  9. Great images as usual Avani! With detail inside the GRS 🙇‍♂️ Roberto
  10. Excellent Simon! I was also out this morning and the seeing was definitely above average. Still have to process 19 videos I took with my 10" f/20 Mak. Roberto
  11. Absolutely fantastic! Great detail in all positions. Well done 👍 Roberto
  12. Excellent shots and great animation John 😎 Roberto
  13. I went to see them in the Swatch shop on Oxford Street in London this week. They do look Swatch but I have to say that they are nice; certainly look well above the price tag. I have a FOIS Speedmaster which I wear everyday. I may get the Pluto version of the Swatch to wear from time to time. Neptune and Mercury also looked very nice. The shop was out of stock but they promised more "next week"; not sure if that'll happen and I'm not queuing to get one... Roberto
  14. My 10” f/20 Mak waiting for the ISS. Only the smaller 94mm f/7 refractor - in tandem - managed to catch it though. ISS pass and animation - 27 Jan 2022 Roberto
  15. Bigger than mine! It's tight in there 🙃 A 10' x 6' ROR with two piers... Roberto
