Cheers Mike. Ive just finished mine. It's a bit of a squeeze but I got it sorted, looks much more professional, thanks for the idea. I araldited my chassis plug in place as there just wasnt the room for the nut also the electronics shop only had 4 pole connectors in minimum so I used one of those. That meant I couldnt take as much meat off the chassis plug back for the circuit board clearance. Managed it in the end though. Thanks again

Mike, your mod has shamed me into tidying mine up a bit so I bought a Din plug & socket like yours Ill be fitting it shortly, thanks for the great idea.
