      I know what you mean... I've spent weeks complaining that I need a clear night, and the best night in a long while comes along - when there's a full moon! Typical!

    I leave for Tae Kwon-Do under beautifully clear skies and when I return all I could see was clouds!

      I have been trying the lunar 100 map. Just the other day I was searching for the straight wall (15) but couldn't see it so I think many of the items on the list will need some more shadow.

      Well, I went out yesterday and had an amazing time observing! I focused mostly on Jupiter with a n 80A filter and got the most detail I have ever gotten! I think I even saw the great Red Spot!

      Cut short actually because my original plan was to save up until my birthday and buy one new. Luckily nightfisher told me about one going for £180 in the classifieds!

      Just dont ever look through moonshanes 16" dob, or you will have proper aperture fever

      The views through Matt's 12" are stunning. I think the best way to avoid contracting aperture fever is to enjoy the views through your current scope and to look at your wallet accepting the cold hard truth that you simply don't have enough money!
