  3. Just seen Jupiter through my telescope for the first time and saw some of its moons, it was incredible!

      I've had it the other way around here! Thursday was meant to be clear according to the forecast but instead it was heavy rain!

      Try Binocularsky.com. It shows you different ways of holding a pair of bins as well as giving charts for "binocular objects". It's very good!

      There's a coincidence! I just got my 10X50 bins as well and I was just able to get outside with them! Look at the pleiades, they are amazing!

  9. Hi there xx I hope someone can help me because this is driving me CRAZY ...... I want to get my husband a telescope for xmas ....... but which one ????? i have read reviews and so far i think it is between an Explorer 130 f/900 ???? or a Danubia saturn 50 ??? HELP !!!!!! I have up to £200 to spend .

      I agree with crashtestdummy. No matter what size telescope you get there will always be a bigger one at your next star party!

      Sometimes, there is so much cloud that you can't even see the cloud! Honest!

      Well, I went out yesterday and had an amazing time observing! I focused mostly on Jupiter with a n 80A filter and got the most detail I have ever gotten! I think I even saw the great Red Spot!

      I have been trying the lunar 100 map. Just the other day I was searching for the straight wall (15) but couldn't see it so I think many of the items on the list will need some more shadow.

  16. I know this might have been asked before but im waiting to recieve my 10" dob and i would very much like to try some astrophotography, my question is do I need an equtorial mount or will i be able to get good pics without one?

      If it's the manual version then you will really only be able to do afocal photography. I'd suggest looking at the astrophotography Forums.

      Cut short actually because my original plan was to save up until my birthday and buy one new. Luckily nightfisher told me about one going for £180 in the classifieds!
