What about The Millpond in Little Tarrington, Herefordshire, there is a lake there too ?

When I bought my Skywatcher Dob a few years ago, I also purchased a Telrad RDF to go on it, it never has, should I put it next to my finder scope or swap them over?

I’ve my scope for a few years and it’s only been out in my light polluted garden about a dozen times, we have befriended a couple who live about 10 miles from us in the countryside, during a visit to them I commented that they had a good view of the horizon and we tucked away and that the sky was probably nice and dark, the lady said she, like me ,had an interest in astronomy and had a scope that needed assembly and that I could maybe help her put it together and take my scope out there, fast forward a couple of months and on Wednesday we did just that, I’ve never been anywhere so dark and with so many visible stars, we viewed Jupiter and Saturn through the scopes and the moon started to rise when we were leaving I curse my lack of knowledge and can’t wait til I go agsin
