      Snap - I have today done the same thing to may CG5GT and put a ADM replacement saddle on it as well - can't wait to use it now.

  5. Hi there xx I hope someone can help me because this is driving me CRAZY ...... I want to get my husband a telescope for xmas ....... but which one ????? i have read reviews and so far i think it is between an Explorer 130 f/900 ???? or a Danubia saturn 50 ??? HELP !!!!!! I have up to £200 to spend .

      Anything with Skywatcher on it will be good, but never heard of Danubia

  6. Maybe I should think about using camera lenses and DSLR for astro imaging in the UK, seems a waist having so much invested in CCD's and scopes only to use less than 10x per year? anyone?

      That's why I do some solar work as well Tom - it gives me an excuse to get the kit out at least!!!

      This would have been a good topic to post, you would bound to get many opposing views I'm sure.

      I agree with both the previous comments - time does exist but not necessarily to same for everyone.

      Collected all eight of the big ones, but Pluto is a minor planet now, so threw that one away.

      Been so long I got my full gear out today and set it up for solar viewing. I figure is I can do it during daylight I should be able to do it in during the night as well!!
