  1. You're welcome. I'm pleased that the guide has been useful for you, especially in producing this excellent image - well done.
  2. Thank you. It takes a lot of patience, practice and teeth grinding. Check out my guide I posted on this site last year to help.
  3. I haven't done anything since June last year (Saturn). A little rusty, but I think it will pass. [Philips SPC 900NC PC Camera] Resolution=640x480 Frame Rate (fps)=10.00 Colour Space / Compression=YUY2 Exposure=-6 Brightness=65 Contrast=39 Saturation=26 Gamma=0 ColorEnable=255 BacklightCompensation=0 Gain=38 Tal 3x barlow Skywatcher 200p Dob Around 2400 frames stacked
  4. Thank you and it was manually done. Come to think of it, I haven't been out with the scope since beginning of June and that was to capture Saturn!! Eek, I'm going to be sooooo rusty next time.
  5. Thank you. The webcam has an adapter screwed onto it, which then goes into the focuser of the scope.
  6. You seem to be using the programs I have listed in my 'Imaging with a Dob Guide'. An excellent first Saturn image - my first attempt was dismal to say the least!
  7. That's my image and settings - but hopefully it will help you
  8. Thanks everyone. I wasn't really expecting much as the conditions were poor, hence why I have only processed it this morning.
  9. Only just got round to processing the AVI's, in the end turned out ok I think. [Philips SPC 900NC PC Camera] Resolution=640x480 Frame Rate (fps)=10.00 Colour Space / Compression=YUY2 Exposure=-4 Brightness=76 Contrast=32 Saturation=0 Gamma=0 ColorEnable=255 BacklightCompensation=0 Gain=45
  10. It was driving me nuts, but actually it was a blessing in disguise. I found doing one continuous AVI easier than starting & stopping recording and from a editing point of view also.
  11. Thanks guys appreciate it. I had some serious problems with Sharpcap last night. The first AVI was lovely, perfect colour balance, until I started the second AVI about 30secs later - Saturn turned yellow! No matter what I tried, I couldn't get the AVI looking as good as the first one, so I had to shut the down the program, disconnect the webcam, reconnect and fire up Sharpcap. Again the first AVI was perfect, then the same thing happen with the yellow on the second video. I thought the webcam was on the way out, so I tried with the brand new SPC900 and the same thing happened! In the end after resetting once again, I left Sharpcap recording, whilst I got the planet drifting across the screen numerous times and this seemed to work.
  12. Very good images considering the poor seeing. I do prefer the powermate version though.
