  1. Love the way the lightbridge tendrils are reaching out like two tiny pairs of arms ...
  2. Clouds weren't co-operating today so no close-up view just the full discs ... πŸ˜’
  3. Just switching from the Moon to Venus wouldn't throw the focus out by that much ... πŸ˜‰
  4. I'd guess that there's a spacer/extension missing from the set-up somewhere , or one fitted that's not needed , for the image to be that far from focus .
  5. Thanks Geoff , hope you get to catch it before it slips from view.
  6. Poor seeing again but at least I saw it today . Disc .... Evostar 150 + EOS 6D + 2.2x Barlow + ND5.0 + Oiii. Close-up .... Evostar 150 + Altair 174MM Hypercam + 2x Barlow + ND5.0 + Baader Continuum + UV/IR Cut. (Scaled 130%)
  7. Very hasty session in poor seeing ...
  8. That's a proper 'Sun'day mate ...
  9. The clue is stamped on the video Stu ... the data is from the SDO/HMI Continuum stream , all the SDO wavelengths are available to download and play with. I'd do well to capture 24 hours a day even if the weather co-operated ... πŸ˜†
  10. On the contrary Stu , it was lovely and stady up there . I just spent too long harvesting full disc frames and the clouds returned just as I got the 174 plugged in so the close-up was just 60 rough frames , there was nigh on as much detail in the full disc from the 2000D ... πŸ˜†
  11. Another early grab in the sliver of clear sky between the rain ... πŸ˜‰
  12. My capture of this week's star of the show taken on the 8th July. Evostar 150 + Altair 174mm.
  13. Another lovely session , little quicker today as there was only a brief sliver of blue.
  14. Well that was a proper session on a glorious summer day ... And a montage of close-ups , I think I got everything ... πŸ˜‰
  15. More playing camera-wise , chucked the 90D on today , the biggun was a little further round than NASA/SDO showed ...
  16. Dreadful seeing so not a great test , but better than yesterday's offering at least ... πŸ˜‰
  17. One frame more than I should have got to be honest , but it was nice to say goodbye to the monster AR before it slips from view ... 😏
  18. Quick grab in the small clear patch that lined itself up for me ...
  19. Well having at long last got to play with the new Altair 174MM Hypercam I'm very pleased with its first taste of sunshine . A collection of close-ups from the 2nd July , all slightly different settings as I was finding my feet , and an AS!3 2x Resampled offering in the middle.
  20. Finally got to play properly with the Altair Hypercan 174MM Fan-cooled camera ...
  21. Thanks to the "must have the latest tech" folks there are some fantastic DSLR deals around as loads turn to mirrorless systems ... πŸ˜‰ I've just snapped up an EOS 6D with only 16,000 on the clock for Β£220 for my whitelight solar imaging on the Evostar 150 ... WEX , MPB and Park Cameras are well worth checking on a regular basis ...
  22. It's still a bit hit and miss here Michael . Even as recently as 10 minutes ago I've just been greeted with a page teling me the site doesn't exist ... forgot to screenshot it but if it goes again I'll do so next time. Thanks for al the hard work you continue to do for us all. Regards , Steve.
