  1. Gazebos need the roof to make them rigid. I'm gonna make 4 concrete feet with holes in the middle that 6ft ish drainpipes will stand in , these will be be easy to slide in and out , I'll put brackets at the top of the drainpipes and then put some curtain rail on to some 2x1 timber , these rails will just lift on / off the brackets , add some curtains - i think they will need to be about a 3ft drop , so I can close the curtains to hide any light but also open the curtains if they are obstructing my view , and easily remove them or the posts if they are still obstructing . should take minutes to assemble and dissassmble , about £40 to make I reckon .

  2. Here's mine , had to wait till I put my red leds on before i could post it , got the SGL standard issue maplins flight case , a BST explorer , a vixen npl , cheshire collimator etc. the red leds are from ebay 99p delivered from Hong Kong !! , they are for a car so 12v but work perfectly with a 9v pp3 as previously recommended in this thread ,the leds are self sticky & bent and drilled a thin sheet of aluminium for the switch come battery holder and pop riveted it to side of case - very James Bond.

  3. I've spent a couple of months now using this site , firstly as a lurker then a member and I think it's excellent ,I've learnt so much and still read the beginners section daily to again info from others questions . Thanks to all the contributors who show great patience in answering the same questions time and time again , I'm sure they will slow down until the next stargazing live ,

As for making it easier to make decisions , I have never been so indecisive , the more I learn the more I want the more I spend the more .....etc etc
